Sorry I missed the live stream, guys & sadly I'm afraid I can't watch the full hour right now so apologies if you address this one but my question is: I understand that any (post Brexit) residency application has to be done from the UK but in theory, if we wanted to buy an existing business, which visa would we have to apply for? Autónomo? If so, what do you need in terms of funds, business plan, etc? Or is there a specific visa for this kind of thing? We're not ready for a(n) NLV yet (unfortunately) so will have to have a source of income & are happy to register in Spain for tax purposes but are a little confused regarding the rules regarding 3rd country extranero visa applications if you intend to work / run your own business in Spain. There's a lot of info out there but most of it is from specialist providers who want you signed up before the full picture is explained & much of it appears contradictory & unclear. Sorry for rambling...& thanks again. Dave in Salford.

Very good question Dave, no apologies necessary. Your timing is great, on Saturday 19th Nov I’ll be interviewing a Spanish lawyer who successfully got a self employment visa for a UK citizen who was taking over an existing business in Spain. She’ll be explaining the difficulties of the process and how they succeeded, including what you need. All businesses are different of course so some of the specifics will be different, but I’m sure there will be a lot of extremely helpful information.
