Why do I need to take Folic Acid while taking Methotrexate?

As in the video, it is recommended to take it the day after but please see your treating doctor if you have questions or concerns about this.

There is a lot of variation in recommendations so there is not one correct answer. As a general rule, some amount is better than none. I typically use 5mg of folic acid once a week on the day after the Methotrexate dose. That is sufficient for the majority of people. Dr Irwin Lim
