Absolutely love your videos. I use watercolor in sketchbooks, but final painting in acrylic. I do find your oil lessons very useful in doing acrylics.

Awsome Robert ,I have always followed the work of Australian artist Arthur Streeton and always felt sheepish about doing so .But as you say there are no rules in art ,thank you for your insight . PS you would like Streeton

Just found you and really enjoying catching up on your videos/lessons and appreciate all your support! Are there videos of yours that you can point me to that discuss Mediums - what you use, when and why? Thanks again!
@OilPaintingwithRobertMee
@OilPaintingwithRobertMee 3 ай бұрын
I only use linseed oil. Keep watching I will cover mediums at some point, but they are not necessary unless you want to create a certain effect.
@callmedeno

Thanks for introducing me to this painting. At the end you say the paint has linseed oil in it, did you mean you mixed some in yourself? I was thinking at the start that my winsor and newton artist paints don't seem to have anywhere near the flow yours have out of the tube.
@OilPaintingwithRobertMee

Yes if the paint is too stiff add linseed oil. Check out the link in the description and I discuss my materials. I aim for a buttery consistency.

Hi Rob. Just wondering - I don't see you thinning your paints, do you and what do you use?
@OilPaintingwithRobertMee
@OilPaintingwithRobertMee 16 күн бұрын
I add a little linseed oil to make the paints a nice buttery consistency.

Yes, I use a white pencil. Anything that leaves a mark will work. In the description there is a link to my materials and set up. Thanks for watching 😀
