I watched about 10 different videos while trying to get a basic understanding of how to throw a changeup with no luck at all. Mostly guys just holding the baseball in the change up grip and rambling on about nonsense. Your detailed video, specifically the role of the middle and index fingers gives me a clear understanding of the basics of throwing the changeup and I feel like it will be a game-changer for my son.

If you throw 3/4 arm slot, as a note (because the video is pretty spot on) the pronation is not a true necessity because the angle itself creates the natural cut and drop but again, the vid is spot on and thankfully very clear cut. Doing some research after being off the mound for a few years and nice to see some voice of reason out there. a lot "pros" out there with cameras teaching bad and sometimes dangerous technique.

The myth is to teach a 10-12 yr old kid the change up before the curve it's been nearly impossible to get a kid to turn his wrist inside like that. The only thing that seems to work for my boys is the old school flick your whole wrist with the curve.

I'm not sure I understand - the myth is that kids can't turn inside on a changeup, or turn their wrist for a curve? It's pretty easy to get kids as young as 11-12 to throw a changeup in the way described here if their learning progression is sound.

You should start your video advising kids under 14 not to cronate to avoid life time injuries...

link me to a research study that found evidence of "cronate" causing "life time injuries" would love to read it
