Its too extreme climate here in Bahrain, and there are huge AC problems reporting in the summer season with catastrophic AC system failure. What happens most is the compressor wears out internally and blocks the whole system including expansion valve and liquid tank and causes abnormal high and low pressure and AC less cooling complaints. Hence, we have to replace Compressor+Expansion valve+Liquid tank and do full system flushing...

The main thing is new compressors like 4 seasons are junk. I've had then blow a fuse as soon as hooked up. I've taken them back and got a different brand and they run forever.

Can the evaporator be flushed while still installed in the car?

Sometimes cheap Chinese compressors like those sold by GPD simply fall apart. In my own truck the valve plate was attached by one bolt that came loose. There are no service parts available for these compressors. They only give a year guarantee so you know it is not top quality.

Hello there nice video.I have AC all parts are replaced except evaporator thermistor,AC working but not as before,vehicle Hyundai Santa fe 2015.

Hi - Thanks for watching! Could be a lot of things; moisture or restriction in the system, bad compressor clutch, bad or contaminated refrigerant, slipping belt, clogged condenser fins, refrigerant leaks, bad compressor, (new parts can be bad too), etc. If you haven't already done so, check and follow the diagnostic and troubleshooting guides in a service/repair manual for the vehicle. I hope you get it figured out.

Hi - Looks like the best course of action would be to take it back to the dealership and have them diagnose the issue. I would think that the repair should have a warrantee.

I tried 2 4-season scroll compressors and both did not work. Its not the cleaning of the system, its because the compressors were built in China and wee not checked to see if they indeed worked. I bought a real Sanden scroll compressor and it works. So in summery, Stuff built in China is not all that grest.

Hi - Long distance diagnosis is always difficult and usually not very practical, but start with making sure there is proper high and low side pressures to insure adequate refrigerant, no blockages, freeze ups, etc. Compressors do get hot because of what they do and where they are located but inadequate oil in the refrigerant can make things worse. Unfortunately, You won't know until you or someone runs a diagnosis like the one I mentioned. No way to know for sure until then. My feeling, based on your original question, is that the compressor is shutting off and maybe getting too hot because of a problem somewhere in the system.

Lets say compressor is good. It will shut off if too low in Refrigerant, and it will shut off if there is too much pressure. High pressure is caused by too much refrigerant, blockage on the system(condenser, drier, evaporator, lines), or fans are not working properly. Purpose of fans is to dissipate heat from the condenser/radiator. Heat on condenser will make the pressure too high, as a fail safe the compressor will shut itself down(thats the ac pressure switch's job). Hope this helps...

This guy is trying to shift blame for their junk compressors onto the buyer. Blaming it on other things. They do little more than clean and repaint their rebuilt compressors. They may replace the seals, but don't overhaul and replace the moving metal parts. So they put the same worn out compressors up for sale, which don't last, since they were worn out and still are.
