Why do people do this? | Brainless dog walkers

I'd love to get into the head of anyone who does this. I'm climbing beneath the foot path along Hadrians Wall and I'm disgusted at the number of disguarded dog poop bags along the top of peel crag.

I live next to a local nature reserve and literally every time I walk around it I see this kind of thing. I really annoys me! Earlier this year I saw a woman watch her dog foul on the reserve and as she walked away, I asked her if she was planning on cleaning it up and she responded by picking it up then threatening to rub it in my face! Needless to say, I told her if she tried it I would defend myself and she grabbed her dog and practically jogged away and hasn't shown her face there since. If you're not willing to clean up after your dog you shouldn't have it! It's that simple.

Walked this a lot and never seen dog bags left. Stick and flick unless willing to carry to bin. In my local area there are loads of them thrown into hedges, hung on trees left on ground. Why? I can get my head around being a dirty *** and not picking up at all, but to go to the trouble of buying poo bags, carrying them on the walk, using them to pick up poo and THEN failing at the last most important part of binning it does my head in.

It's a vile thing to do, like you say it's better just to let the dog foul rather than preserve it in a plastic bag. I don't have a dog any more, but never would a responsible dog owner dream of ever doing this

Something I can actually agree with you about. This is the inevitable result of an unregulated pet industry. Too many dogs, too many idiots breeding and buying them. It's a real problem that needs addressing. Nevermind the fact that we have record numbers of kids killed by dogs in the UK this year... I bet you're opposed to any kind of regulation on dog ownership/breeding/selling though...

Totallyon board with pet regulation. I especially like the Chinese pariah to it. In order to keep a dog, you must apply for a licence and only walk it in designated dog walking parks. I take my boys to various different parks to play in and I've lost count of the tines they've been charged at by a dig off the lead. A 4 year old should never have to experience what a fight or flight reaction feels like

Dog shit isn't 'fertilizer'. It's toxic and pollutes the environment (including the water table we need to survive). You just complained about pollution but you don't recognise the harm pet waste causes to the environment? Come on, any environmentalist should be opposed to this. Dog waste needs to be properly dealt with, in the same way human waste is processed via sewerage treatment etc so that it doesn't destroy the environment. That's why it has to be cleaned up. We didn't spend thousands of years figuring out how to build sewer systems just for dogs to cause the SAME PROBLEMS AGAIN. Do you think human shit is a good 'fertilizer' too? Yet SOME PEOPLE think dog waste is somehow good for the environment. I think you may have just explained the mentality and idiocy of dog foulers.
