You’ve said it all life is exactly the same in the West. No social life, too much taxes, discrimination, loneliness etc but people tend to stick it because where they are coming from has little or nothing to offer. I live and was born in UK 🇬🇧 grew up in Nigeria and came back at the age of 23 but have no intention spending the rest of my life here. All my goals and money is invested back home. When you look at it, it’s all political and modern day slavery all these Western countries their own children are too lazy to work therefore they rely on immigrants then tax so heavily to maintain their own country and in a place like the UK those who are working are the ones providing for the unemployed. So imagine 40% deducted out of your income, your left with 60% then you pay all your bills before you know it you’re left with nothing and this is why people either work 2 jobs or overtime. My advice as I stated earlier work hard but don’t burn your bridges make sure you think into the future have investments back home, maintain contacts and try to go back regularly. You can live anywhere in Nigeria once you have the money remember living abroad is a great opportunity but don’t waste it just living a vicious cycle life. Make your money and go back and live like a king.

Taxes dont just pay for health care in Canada. They pay for infrastructure maintenance, schools, unemployment insurance, $10.00 a day subsidized daycare in my province, workers compensation if you get injured, free or subsidized services for the elderly, good public transportation, etc. Every country has its good and bad but because taxes are used to pay for many services in Canada and to maintain a social safety net for everybody, you have less desperation in the population, which leads to more safety and a lower crime rate. A win in my book.

You forget one important fact, immigration is increasing and the economy is not doing so dandy, what that means is those safety nets will get stretched and eventually lead to discomfort among Canadians and you know what that means. I'm Canadian and I moved to France because Canada is hell for tradespeople like myself. In Canada you work 7 days a week for 12 hours per day for 24 days straight and you get 4 days rest. The salary is hourly and your employer is not required to give you work. So you don't get paid if you don't work. The climate is awfully cold and harsh as well. Furthermore, the job market is very competitive and it's hard to get a job. Meanwhile in France getting a job in the trades (construction) is very easy, the demand is high and the working conditions embarass Canada.

I find Vancouver to be hostile. Rent are expensive and overrated (I am in fact Belgian and grew up in France just to give you some context); buying a house is an “insult” (this is why I plan to buy in Europe instead as it is 2-3 times cheaper if I buy in some towns in France or Belgium) and many people in Vancouver seem to be unhappy and frustrated by where their lives has taken them! In regards to the girls here, I found them to be “nice” but in fact, they are just nice on the surface only (if I have to compare it to my experience of girls in France or Belgium). In Vancouver, most girls are very “money oriented” (yes and many of them date “sugar daddies but that is not known outside Canada, right?) and so many look for financial security in a partner than a sane relationship! I am not astonished to see why so many end up being unhappy, depressed suffering in their relationship and above all… end up being alone (and end up using dildos) and regretting their lives years later! After having lived in this place for 8 years (a place which I would leave behind soon hopefully as we are heading back to Europe soon), I am so glad to leave this place for good! Many relationships here are fake and superficial (compared to Europe) And it is a city where sooooo many girls (they pretend they are not) are sooo lonely.. now I am ni longer astonished why dildos sell so well!!! This is why so many (people and Vancouver girls) Here smoke pits and end up being depressed or having lots of mental disorders! Now on top of that, I hate their hospitals where you have to wait for everything (in Belgium that has never existed), and dislike those fake social interactions that many think it is worth something when in fact, it is just superficial-ness, illusion and coldness. I strong believe that Canada is “worth it” but providing that you are thinking of it as a place to pass by, not retire or immigrate for ever! Just have a look at the Canadian healthcare system and how bad it is! kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYS3hY1totmqgcU

The level of coverage depends on what amount you are willing to pay. In all provinces except AB, you pay a certain amount for health insurance that covers doctors visit. Since gynecologist and dentists are specialists, the coverage may or may not cover these. Best to ask and find out what is included in your health insurance plan before you sign up as different plans are available in different provinces.

Canada is a wonderful country but its way hyped more than its actually is. Cost of living is off the roof, people can't even afford to buy a house anymore, most who even buy are house poor, they work all day just to pay mortgage. Majority are living with insane debt, loneliness, cold, subtle racism. Most people just do survival jobs. Now I can list the many wonderful advantages of this beautiful country but it's already known. And Canadians are increasingly getting tired of immigrants and rise in immigration, that in the near future is gonna be another issue. People back home need to wake up and start working with those abroad to fix Nigeria instead of waiting for it to fix itself. Abroad don cast oh e no be like before

If you want a good life you must work for it.That is why there is no innovation in Africa(nigeria )because we like to relax in our parents house.Canand will provide you with security, good foods, free healthcare, good infrastructure, free education to some level etc of course with your tax.But in Nigeria the little tax you pay you don't see the effect. In all, be realistic about your goals and reasons for leaving and be focus.

But I still want to plead with those that have plans to see it through, experience how it feels to be in a decent and Morden society, thought it requires work but at the end of the day what the taxes are used for will be seen but here in Nigeria one politician is just stashing it for his personal benefit. This is the issue with Canada and especially all these Democrats run countries UK included. When you take 40% tax from a person's income...you left with 60% for rent and other bills. How much would you have left to save and invest. How long will you save to buy your own house. I just look at Nigerians all wanting to go to Canada. These countries especially Canada just take immigrants in to work them out and make the economy and themselves richer. You'd just keep working for years not much to save and invest cos tax and bills take up almost all your income. Medicare for all is definitely good..thats the only positive side I see about Canada. That is why the US is better. You earn much more and taxes won't take much of your income. You'd be able save well for the future in America

America is not any better from these countries. The tax in the US is high as well. By the time you pay federal tax, state tax and sales tax, you realise you are paying more. And with the high health bills. The best thing to do is have a monthly expenditure plan.

Let me tell you that the likes of Don Jazzy, Obi Cubana, Jowizaza , E-money , will never live overseas because they see huge opportunities in Nigeria.
