Why do so many youtubers have creative burnout? Content creation vs creativity

There’s another side to the frustration - I REALLY WANT THE PEOPLE I FOLLOW TO SLOW DOWN BECAUSE I CAN’T WATCH ALL THESE VIDEOS. Creators mental health is obviously the critical reason, but it’s also so frustrating that they’re burning out because they’re keeping to an output that nobody can watch. I definitely ascribe a lot of this to how the social media platforms subtly push their creators. KZbin, please slow it down. I follow so many creators and I would like to watch all their stuff but I can’t because I HAVE A LIFE AND A JOB AND THINGS TO DO and they are being pushed to upload so frequently that there isn’t enough time to watch one video before the next comes out. ☀️

I’m sorry that you’re going through this. I find it helps me to switch between different creative tasks, eg songwriting to fabric art to jewellery, but I’m not at the same level on KZbin so I don’t know if that’s useful for you. Your garden might help with recovery 🤞🤞

We are at a weird place right now as creators and consumers on KZbin. It’s the algorithm, recession, topics, etc. I also talked about the shift in fashion KZbin content and it feels like we hit a wall at the same time and there’s not much help coming from the top. I recently noticed there’s no creators on the fashion KZbin trending page the only fashion KZbinrs you can find are in the shopping section. It just feels like as creators we are cogs in a machine constantly giving our all and sending creations into an abyss of “content”. The frustration is felt ☀️

Sounds a lot like a forced addiction ---- always chasing that first "high". On the upside, it sounds like content creators are realizing that there are other ways of sharing without chasing the addiction. For me, watching those that I'm subscribed to is all about being inspired and seeing another way of looking at something creative. What do you mean by a forced addiction? Like creators themselves are forcing it? Or the system of content creation forces them into it?

@@OutfitRepeater The KZbin logarithms seem to set up creators so they cannot predict which videos will receive a wider spread than others resulting in higher viewer counts. Creators often see these as the new way forward but it appears that is often difficult to recreate that response hence they are "chasing the "high"" not because that's what they want to do but more because the platform seems to "force" that chase. Hope that clears it up. It is forced by the platform and there is an undercurrent if I do X than the Y that happened before will happen again.

I feel like that’s a massive thing most creative people are facing in modern society.. Just so you know you are one of my favorite KZbinrs I’ve come across.
