Using Helium on a Dive as Bottom gas will not be reduced your time in a deco, it is the opposite, it will slightly increase your Decompression Stops. You could use Helium as a deco gas, but this going to be a bigger technical disussion. O2 is going to be toxic with a partiual pressure of 1.6 bar(bottom you will use 1,4 for "working/swiming, 1.6 for Deco). Therefore the max depth of normal air ist arround 66m. This means to go below 70m you need to reduce your procentage of O2 below 1,4 bar and this is dont by adding helium, not really advantages, more a no way arround it. Regarding the costs: for a 100m Dive it is arround 200€, depending on where you dive. But the costs for Helium are arround 0,03-0,07 => (your example with 70% Helium => 140Bar in D12 => 3360 liter of He means 100€- 235€, O2 and Air is pretty cheeap for deco like 20€ or smomething. What you also haven't mentioned, it s not only the heat because Tec Divers to not using helium for a Dry Suite, it is also because it can cause you Death. Helium is much thiner(therefore easier to breath) there is a chance and a discussion going on that the Helium in your dry suite can directly exchange with your lungs through the chest which will cause a DCI. There are also disadvantes like that helium is blocking the exchange and deco, where you need to be carefull on "bigger" (deeper/longer) dives. All this stuff can't be told in a 2 min video. The course you will need to be able/"allowed" to do a dive to 100m will take you 2-3 weeks of training after your recrational "40m" certification. So its not a question of which advantages do I have with helium, its more a question what I wanna see/do. If you are looking on a wrack at maximum depth of 40m/45m, you are normaly fine without helium, therefore do the entry level of Tec Diving, to learn something about decos and 100% O2 breathing. If you want to see a wrack at 100m, you need trimix/Helium in order to get there, the range where the discussion of advantages of helium comes in is between 50-60m, there you can argument to not use helium because of its disadvantages. Everything below 60m there is not really an option. I hope this helps :)

you never hear a diver surface with a squeaky voice. Since they dont use helium/trimix during decompression, at least not the later stages. Most tec divers switch to 50% nitrox at 20m and 100% o2 at 6m giving them 2 deco stops (6m and 3m) to breath out all helium. with oxygen in your lungs you dont sound squeaky

Simon you are totally right! Made a stupid mistake and thanks for pointing it out! 👌🏻 we are cutting the resurface part out of the video as we speak. I was meant to say when you hear them talk underwater 😗
