My cat recently passed away too, But he would go nuts on the stuff, and not in a silly, floppy kind of way. He would get so aggressive on catnip no one could get near him until he came off his high. Once we brought a catnip plant into the house Big mistake He ate half of it in one go while fending us off while we tried to get it away from him. it was hilarious but we understandably didn't do it often. He was a cool cat.
