omg, this is the best. i have big lips and i've always been picked on for having them, but i didn't take time to realize that they're natural features for black people. so it doesn't bother me as much now, and i'm actually proud to have them 😅❤️

As someone with a small ass mouth and a non existent upper lip, I got teased for my small mouth and I always wanted a wider mouth and bigger lips, I think they look absolutely gorgeous! But then just like you, I learned to accept myself. I told myself that my lips are like doll lips! All lips are beautiful in their own way!

When I was in middle school, this girl at my school called me "afro monkey" and "pig nose" every day. I hated it and the worst part was that i told the principal about this at least a hundred times but she wouldn't listen to me. Eventually, the girl got caught bullying me and she ended up getting expelled. Ever since that day, I'm proud of my heritage. It still hurts sometimes when somebody rags on me for how I look, but on the whole, I just couldn't care less. People who are prejudiced and make fun of you for just being yourself are just scared insecure little people who can't go through one second of their day without trying to put you down to make themselves feel big. The bigger person is the most confident person, not the meanest person. Everybody who is reading this please remember this for life. And PLEASE, for the love of God, don't let people get you down and make you change who you are. Lift yourself and other people up. You're beautiful, inside and out.

I have small lips, but i understand this person's pain. Being bullied because of being different isn't fun. Most of my school made fun of my disability in mathematics, saying that i was stupid or something like that. Really hurts dude. thank you so much for this story,i had a similar experience since i was in kinder,i was bullied because of my nose,my feets,my fricking hair,the way i talked and even the things i liked. it was really difficult,i didnt even wanted to see myself in a mirror and always hide my face in the photos. now i have learned to love myself. and a reminder, if you where born to shine why to hide yourself,your face,your personality is so amazing dont let anyone say how you should look or act. if someone is going throught the same thing..i am sorry,so sorry for this bad world,they wont change but you can,i am not talking of appearance i am talking about your way of thinking,start loving yourself sweetheart you can do it,become the person you needed in those difficult times and go help others. you are loved,you are beautiful,you are different❤

I am light skinned but both of my parents come from a black background. My dad is also lightskinned, but him and his entire family come of Curaçao, while my mom is from the Dom Rep. People made fun of my lips back in elementry school but I find it funny now that everyone's trying to have plump lips and even overlining their lips. My lips are beautiful, and I love the natural blood-red color. Never let anyone make you feel like shit for being you.
