The game is essentially "Dodge earlier than you think you should." Higher ping = earlier dodge.

Minor correction: it's not because of the hitboxes, it's because of desync between client and server when it comes to hitboxes, so hitboxes will register improperly.

I will explain how in 1.1 ping works... im not sure what changed in 1.2 but the effects are massive Roblox uses a system, you (client) make a movement, that is sent on a server, then on different people's game. That works quite well and doesn't use much traffic However, this only works in casual games like Build a Boat For Treasure, in TD, you need to precicely move to dodge. And here's the problem. Let's say that sonic hits and survivor jumps at the same time. From sonic's perspective, he hit the survivor, because the message "Survivor jumped" didn't go into your game yet. While sonic is sending "Sonic landed a hit" message, and it goes to your game, which results in mid air hits Hopefully that makes sense. In 1.2, I THINK THAT the game now bases around the information on the server, rather than on clients and makes some calculations, but I don't exactly know how this ping issue was fixed

It's mostly Roblox servers goofy aah delay.. You better get some information of the sonic.exes screen and know where he will attack, and where YOU are.
