Thank you SO MUCH for explaining this & providing general public with dental education. It is so hard to know how to properly take care of teeth if your parents were bad at it, bc that’s how most everyone learns. Cavities happen to everyone but not everyone knows how to stop it or why it happens! :)

Also I really appreciate your feedback. It's so nice to be able to help patients understand and take control of their oral health. It's so great that you are taking active interest in improving your health. I have also had many patients who are unwilling to learn or not interested. So KZbin is my way of reaching those who do want to learn :)

Of course! I understand you do this on your free time based out of just your passion to inform and help patients make better choices... there are a lot of people out there like me who want to learn but keep running into doctors that are either too lazy or don't think education is necessary as a form of prevention... I've even had some doctors be patronizing for asking serious questions and concerns, which I find very unprofessional but actually quite common unfortunately. I am happy to give a thank you and some encouragement to a professional that puts in the extra effort and truly cares! I'm also in a professional industry that has a big gap in public education, but I personally feel even if some people do not care to listen and just want me to fix the problem, there are some that are willing to listen & just don't know any better. It seems you share that belief, and I hope you continue to believe that effort is worth it :)

Hello doc! Thank you for the explanation I didn't know the whole process. I'd like to know of your teeth are naturally that white or you use some whitening product. If that is the case what do you recommend? In the past I used whitening stuff and made my teeth super sensitive... and I believe even weaker. Thank you for your support!

Winner of a video, I been tryin to find out about "signs of cavity under filling" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Givarton Salient Gratification - (do a search on google ) ? It is a good one off product for discovering how to eradicate your cavity pain without your dentist without the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my colleague got excellent results with it.

It all makes sense now. Yikes😬ive been getting dry mouth🤤during the night for years but couldnt understand how i got gum disease🤢because i brushed 5 times a day. The stupid dry mouth helped bacteria eat and poop acid in my mouth gross!!! 🤐 I had deep laser surgery 7 weeks ago my gums are pink 1st time in years!😁👍

I just got a cavity but under the enamel,the enamel was perfectly fine. How does this happen?!

Happens a lot. Sometimes small channel like a pit or a groove where bacteria can enter. The dentine under the enamel is softer and more prone to decay so the decay can spread under the enamel without being visible. That's why it's important to visit dentist regularly as we take x-rays to check for cavities under the enamel.
