I asked myself this question. The answer is to calm and help endulge the consumer in whatever act they are currently involved in. It's why supermarkets and places of interest have entrances. To en-trance the customer - making them accustomed to/acquainted and comfortable within their immediate environment, equally putting them into a trance - allowing the customer to consume. My question is, why is Elevator Music tarnished with luscious, tropical-lofi vibe alone? Why specifically, has jazzy, tropical lofi become synonymous with Elevators?

It’s such an interesting conceptual idea that of all styles of music we choose the tropical-lofi vibe instead of classical music. Personally I would music rather listen to some Mozart or Chopin.

@@TheMusiciansGear Yeah, the tropical-lofi vibe reminds me that we're in a space which is between two other places. Where we begin and where we will end up. The elevator is a bit like a liminal space within its own right, transporting us between two states. The music suggests we are somewhere familiar, yet somewhere out of place simultaneously. Nintendo's famous Wii song should be in there with Muzak Holdings' songs. That's the sort of topic I was looking for. Maybe that will be my first video.
