Why do we REALLY like hardware synths better than plugins?

I prefer software plugins to hardware synths... but in this video, I use science to explain why hardware is better.

Personally if I'm using VST instruments I do absolutely everything in the box if I'm using Kontakt or Halion and to me the guitars in Halion are OK ( some of them are most likely the same samples as in your Yamaha MX88 ). My main reason for doing everything 100% with VST instruments is because it's faster and I'm no session guitarist. Of course back when I used Mixcraft's stock plugins I would record live guitars if possible because the guitars in Acoustica instruments are not great and when I use midi sound modules like my Roland U-220 or SC-88 Pro Sound Canvas of course live acoustic guitars are way better compared to those PCM samples although the electric guitar sounds in the SC-88 Pro or JV-1080 are usable ( even combined with live guitar parts ). The Casio CZ-101 is one example of a synth where I prefer the hardware but for a Moog, Roland Jupiter or Yamaha CS80 Arturia is perfect ( I have used those Arturia synths in the past and may consider rebuying them, I'm not too fussed about the Arturia midi controller as I don't mind using mouse autimation for "live filtering" ).

videos like this arent usually on my radar because im not a musician, but i think you did a good job explaining an element of music making that does not often get talked about. seeing how things like abstraction and cognitive load can apply to these tools is, to me, such a good basic example that i can map it onto my random attempts at other instruments and programs.

I've never used it, but people say good things about JUCE.
