You're right. But Benedict was just talking through his ignorance. Not that that is a bad thing, but he never will be in our shoes as fans, that's technically impossible. But I think he was more angry than anything else because this interview was supposed to deal with The Imitation Game where he's done such an amazing work. In his place, I wouldn't have said anything at all about this subject., because everybody knows this is a delicate one. Also, as you said, I've never wanted to date one of the characters I'm shipping. I dont know what men think about this, but as them, we also enjoy, when we like the opposite sex, seeing two guys being all cute with each other, and that doesnt mean we are deleting the possibility of having our hearts broken. That's just stupid. Men like to watch lesbians making out. WE like seeing men making out, and that's a cultural natural desire. It's called perversion, the engine that makes possible for us to have kids, to have sex, etc. Perversion, yes, and it's not a bad thing, unless you hurt someone because of your perversion. Men need to start to take the time to understand women. They don't understand us because they don't take the time to do it, and that seems to make them think they are entitled to call us complicated crazy bitches. But, as how happened with Martin and his rape joke, I dont dislike Benedict. I supposed the fact that he's so tolerant about other things, not being one of them a knowledge about women, saves me of hating him, because he's a wonderful man, and there are very few as him, and we would be being stupid if we start to reject him for this, because 90% of men are simply not considerate at all with women, with themes of sexuality, racism, etc. And I understand his anger, because during the whole interview I noticed pretty much contained anger. I would be mad if they ask me about this subject for the 1000000 time. He must be tired by now.
