I have a local post and beam yard near me that pressure treats fence post. They ordered glulams for me for my deck and pressure treated it with the industrial post treatment chemical. It will NEVER rot!

How do we identify a pressure treated lvl from non-pressure treated lvl? What characteristics we can look at and assess?

Why don’t you use a microllam lvl beam?

I assume it’s because these are not made for exterior applications. I have heard that they came out with a treated version, tho

Question Dr, for smaller decks averaging 12x15’ and around there would you recommend using a glue lams or constructing beams by stacking 2 2x6s

You probably want to use pressure treated 4x8s minimum, or 4x10s.

Helical piles put in all the way to 2000 psi. He should be pretty good to rock and roll imo
