Chinese New Year has tradition that ensures that you start your year strong and welcome luck/fortune in your life. It’s a new slate and Chinese ppl are kinda hardcore about starting the year with the right foot. Here are somethings to do for Chinese New Year: - clean your house (new slate!) - eat something sweet (start the year with a positive taste in your mouth. Pause) - pray to your ancestors (thank them for their hardship and ask for what you want. Typically ppl ask for health, growth, and fortune. This is essentially making you meditate on your appreciation for your ancestors and manifest what you want/make goals) - empty all your trash cans (new slate!) - have lucky symbology around (studies have proven that lucky items improve determination through placebo) - spend time with family - eat great food Lmk if any of y’all have any questions, glad to answer any if y’all got them

Also, a lot of foods that are eaten in Chinese New Year have positive names in Chinese. Like eating foods with the word lucky, growth, life, etc. I’m not sure what’s the purpose, but my guess is that when you’re talking about the food, you’re using positive words, so these positive words are in your subconscious

I think where we grew up matters but it's a lot about parenting. I'm Indian but grew up in an Italian neighborhood in Toronto. My parents used to bring me to temple to teach me Hinduism and things people do back in their homeland in Kerala. I was blessed to go visit Indian numerous times too. When I look back I am really grateful as they did a lot of work for me to understand things. They used to take us also to international festivals that happened so we get exposure too and I think it's why I am so open and understanding to other people. :)

A lot of relationships are failing most in part because of what was said in this episode. Some (if not most) people need healing; and said people need to do that on their own first. To my singles who has unlocked the self awareness level and doing their part ALONE instead of dragging someone else along, that's on growth, and I love to see it. That "hurt cycle" is immaculate, but step by step we can strive to break out of it (not easy. Levels to it). Great episode once again.

About the a-hole part... She was partially right. Lack of self confidence makes ppl for others that are more confident. A big part of the a-hole is the confidence.
