It all started when my mom met my dad and they fell in love and they had me, Hi im Adam Ryan, and my life.. is kinda crazy!! I'm currently building my 3rd boat for the year and you nailed with staying 10 steps ahead. You almost need to build the boat complete in your head or on paper and then work backwards. If not You're really gonna run into problems.

The boat looks so good man!! But don’t forget that gas tanks expand in the heat, so you might want to leave a little more room. (also please don’t sink the boat)

I’d leave a little more space for the gas tank. Those expand a lot when it gets hot out. Especially in the back of a boat.

Thats is a good way of doing the foam. I would kinda add a wall around the gas tank to protect the foam and wires from a gas spill. Love it so far keep it up. Also Frogs have large pupils.

Have you taken a scrap & tested it with splashing some fuel on it? Some of that stuff turns into a gooey mess with a few drops. I’d hate seeing you figure this out the hard way. If it reacts, maybe line the inside the fuel cubby with something fuel resistant. Nice work.

Yes I have, I threw some foam in some gas and it turns into goo, I’m gonna box the gas tank in

@@AdamRyanA You could always spray the foam with an aerosol bed liner that’s fuel resistant.

@@AdamRyanA It’s an experiment that requires testing & I’ve never messed with using the exact foam as yours. You could put a barrier layer of something between the foam & your chosen product. Possibly a sound deadening mat thats made with adhesive back & metallic top. Another option would be fiberglassing over the barrier & adding some reinforcement slats or rods in the glass as you go. The fiberglass would last the longest, but it’s also going to be the most difficult. It all trial and error on home built stuff. Just giving my two cents in looking to help. I say have some fun with it & looking forward to seeing what you end up doing. Keep up the great work.

incase tank ever needs replaced. make sure its removable. and vented well.

You need to reinforce your fuel space with something else that won’t turn into syrup. Better safe than sorry!
