This is why good Fathers need to love their daughters, so that their self esteem is strong.
@taushasonly
@taushasonly 2 жыл бұрын
My father was an amazing and loving dad. Always made my sister's and I strong mentally, emotionally, ect. Told us he loved us and how proud of us he was everyday. When my dad died from bone cancer, I ended up in an abusive relationship a few months later. My ex husband hid it well and didn't get violent for almost a year and then it was torture and I was trapped. I got away a year later by leaving and going to a domestic violence shelter with my son. From that moment on, I stayed the hell away from him and got a divorce. My point is that it's not necessarily whether or not the daughter has a loving father growing up. Yes, sometimes it's a factor and I know that's how I got my strength to leave but sometimes a woman is trapped. This girl could have left a while before being on this show but she didn't. I agree that she has low to no self esteem but having loving parents isn't always the case. If my father would have been alive when I was with my abusive ex, he would have killed him. I think at the time I was also so broken from losing my father that I was even more vulnerable.

He gives me bad vibes. I think more went on in his drunk drugged haze. Some of her behavior might be because she was not a hundred percent clean. He likely doesn't remember the extent of his behavior if he got that bad. Consider this scenario.... Not many straight people Re drugs/alcohol get together with druggies and drunks. So lets assume she probably was also getting high as a kite and drunk as a skunk.... But realized things are getting out of hand. She goes straight but he doesn't. Abuse gets worse. Good chance he wouldn't even know he did half that shit while off with the fairies. She might not want to tell the entire story because then people would be looking at her also. I believe what she was saying i just believe she has trapped herself into not being able to say everything.

Five words that make me flinch, I know he can change. Right out of the gate if you're with someone because you think you can change them you're with the wrong person. Being a relationship people do change over time, but if you set out to change that person from the go then you're not in love with that person. You're in love with who you think that person could be and that's always bad. Because most people are not going to drastically change. There are exceptions to the rule but they are few and far between. And this woman is in love with who she thinks this man can be, not the reality of who he is. My grandma gave me a great piece of advice when I was a kid about bullies. She said if you fight back they back down. Because a bully is all about the power, and you have to take that away. There's nothing in this man that's redeemable at this point. And she is not the person to fix him. He's got to choose to fix himself nothing will ever change. And one day he's going to go after one of those kids hard and she's going to find herself in the position of killing him to protect her child.
@TeaCup1940

I agree, she is in love with what she thinks he could be. She is in love with a fantasy, a mirage, not his real self. I think she could end up dead or one of her children may end up dead, but I doubt she would ever kill him to protect her children. I think she already chose him before her children and she would do that again in a heartbeat. Those types of women always chose the man before the child.

Common, when you're getting a bused, that's the worst reason to stay..... I know that there are people that have no where to go. But the ones that have a place to go...... then gooooo runnnnnnn don't look back.

That last one really hurt my heart 😭 you can tell the mother was just being bitter, he truly loves his child and wants to be there for her. It’s sad how parents will use their kids as pawns or act like the other parent is this horrible person just because they didn’t work out. If they are a good father/mother then there is no reason to keep a child away ❤

She IS bitter. Her perception is he is an abusive crackhead. To me he is a douchebag who has cleaned up his act. Supervised visitations are appropriate. I don’t blame her for wanting nothing to do with him but he does deserve some visitation. He is totally wrong to spank a child that young. He needs parenting classes and a court order for no corporal punishment.

Having a dad or brother to beat him would not change the situation. She would still be with him because she feels like she is in love with this clown. He is going to hurt her and when their kid starts getting a little older, he will mimic his dad's actions. Little kids see that abuse and may start hitting the mom thinking it was okay.

One thing that I find when women who are in abusive relationships and are asked why they stay and they say "Because I love him...", they sound so monotone and robotic, nearly void of themselves. They gave up so much for him that they believe that there's no room for themselves in their own mind, life and soul, it's been infested with the abuse from her boyfriend or husband. It's all about him and his damn wants and needs, her wants and needs become extinct as well as the child's.

She needs her child removed if she stays with him and continues to expose the child to domestic abuse. Abuse comes in many forms and has nothing to do with love. It's about control and the abuser's own fears and self-loathing. The mother mentioned being physically violent also, so this poor child needs peace and stability.

Steve really has so much patience. I'm sorry but I would have smacked that guy right across the stage if he came at me like he did to Steve. Hes a bully and a thug and I don't like his attitude. The woman, she herself hasn't made good decisions either. Knowing the man has anger issues, to poke and prod is asking for a reaction. I sincerely hope the help they get after the show really helps resolve their issues or they choose to go separate ways for the best interest of the baby and themselves and that he still continues to love and support his son.
