Amy is really an underappreciated character; People just stereotyped her as "skirt girl" and stopped payed attention to any of the cool stuff she did. She was obviously someone who was, wild, didn't like to be tied down, although you gradually see her learn to find her place and find a way to compromize without having to completely surrender her freedom; And one thing they did is that while it was often implied that Amy is actually quite intelligent (Anyone would be overshadowed in the smarts department if they were followed-up by Clara, tho...) she mostly had jobs based on her appearance because she wasn't down for the "posh good girl getting that fancy education thing", but you see her changing jobs a lot because she was, not really a commitment person, but I loved how in the end, after her journey through various things, she arrived at "writer" which is finally something that makes use of her smarts and was just all-round perfect for the character and all the things she was about.

Olivia Kohler I really liked the 'family' for season 6 with the ponds - the youngest of the four -being the parents-in-law to the Doctor and River. I thought that was really well done and just what the doctor and river needed.
