@@wombat4191 While I agree it's probably an oversight it's important to remember the foot scar disappearing actually makes more sense than the back. There are places on the body where things like tattoos fade very quickly. People with bottom-of-foot tattoos usually need annual touchups so the tattoo doesn't fade. Most scars fade with time, but it happens faster with scars and tattoos on hands/feet

@@StoryLover-7 You might be right but I think that is a different kind of technique. The one I mean is where Aang creates an airball and rides it like a scooter. Like we see in the intro of the animated Series where crashes into the statue. Creating a ball out of air (not the breathtaking and killing kind of course) is a common airbending technique before but Aang was the first one to use it as a way of transport by riding it

14:08 Why does Aang talk to Koh? There's actually more to that question. Why does he need to do it? Yue later tells how she was saved by the moon spirit, and it is shown in a flashback how her parents placed her in the spirit oasis where the moon spirit was swimming. So surely she should have known what the moon spirit is, or at least her father should have. So yeah, why exactly did Aang need to talk to Koh to find out about the spirits?

The scars are actually incorrect. Though typically when lighning strikes a person it enters through the higher point and goes into the ground when Azula fires it it comes out of her and into Aang's foot making that the entry point.

You guys should check out “The Three-Body Problem” its definitely a sci-fi series rather than a fantasy but its a trilogy of immense scope and plenty of streaming services are fighting over the rights to produce their own versions of the show, Netflix has their own coming this year, and Peacock already released theirs

I have an answer for 12:02 or at least a theory. It’s not that aang only uses air. But he does use it the majority of the time. My theory is that it’s because it’s the element he’s most comfortable and most natural with. The element and life style he was born into. So he uses it more often. especially under fight’s and stress he wouldn’t have to concentrate so much on how to air bend vs the other elements because it comes naturally. That and aang is a pacifist and prefers not to use violence or aggressive means. Air is much more peaceful than the others.

The glowing tattoos is likely due to the pigment in the ink being sensitive to spiritual changes when the Avatar goes into the Avatar state because there is also statues with glowing eyes which likely use the same pigment in the paint.

Aang actually briefly achieved true flight during the episode "cross roads of destiny" after he lets go of Katara but he is then immediately struck by lightning from Azula and can no longer do this

Don’t know if it’s intentional but movie AWNG is actually closer to the mandarin pronunciation of Aang’s name : 安昂 as it’s written in the show( coz the show uses traditional Chinese characters in their writing like Appas poster) here’s the catch, the movie doesn’t even use Chinese characters but instead uses weird swiggly lines so it actually makes less sense

Idk when this was filmed, so I could be wrong, but I think the “Why does Aang only use air bending?” Could be in reference to the new Netflix show. Aang doesn’t even attempt to bend a single drop of water the whole season until he merges with the ocean spirit. Honestly a WILD change for the show. Mastering all the elements is one of Aang’s main motivations, but I guess he just doesn’t even care in the Netflix verse

I don’t know for sure if it’s the same with lighting strikes, but with bullet wounds, the exit wound is always larger than the entry wound. Also Azula was beneath Aang when she zapped him. Assuming the lightning continued in an upward path, in through his foot and out his back follows that trajectory.

I believe the region the movie that shall not be named seem to prnounce stuff differently is because M Night being Indian, he probably doesn't elongate the A in more sanskrit sounding words like we do in english. So, Aang becomes Auhng and Avatar becomes auvtar. Some of his changes makes sense but others like Iroh and Sokka don't. Actually, Auvtar is how you usually pronounce it in sanskrit but the way the show says it how the creators decided. So, we just stick by it.

Actually, Air benders get their tattoos for mastering all airbending technics, OR inventing a new one. Since Aang invented the air scooter, Aang was able to get tattoos. Jenora was able to astralproject, so she got her tattoos in a similar way.

What if idea: what if the fire nation never attacked? Who would have been the next avatar? I think there's a good argument for Katara since the next avatar was meant to come from the southern water tribe, which is why they were so heavily attacked by the fire nation during the 100 year war
