Incredible to see how much the scenery changes as you go along the track. It’s not one we’ve done yet, but it’s on the list for sure!

It is stunning, if you come from the Bathurst side, you will finish in Hill End gold mining town.

Use to drive the Kingswood up the Bridle Track to Hill End for fishing and fossicking. It was a bit hairy in places meeting someone going the opposite way.

Bloody nice video mate are there areas I can the a stock hilux through there for a trip? Any places to avoid and are river crossings there only for 4wds with snorkels
@DestinationOffroad Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, Aaron. A stock Hilux could do the whole track with a set of Alterrains. Depending on how much rain they have had will determine if you can cross the river.

Jim, all I can say is you and the missus are going to love it. But pack warm clothes, it would be freezing up there now. The Village Camp site in Hill End have hot showers though.

Thanks for the video mate. We enjoyed the ride. Just wanted to know is this a good track to go with Subaru Outback or is it too much to handle.
@DestinationOffroad Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment and the kind words. To be honest, it has one water crossing. The rest is just a dirt track. Bypass is massive, a couple of one lane spots so be careful.

So u got big news for my challenger... I'm doing an engine swap and a transmission upgrade as well... I'll be putting in a 360 magnum and a 6 speed stage 3 transmission. I'll also be converting to EFI (Fuel Injection). The 360 is carbed and I don't really want that and also I'll be putting a pro charger in it. I'll keep yall updated on the progress but I wanna know what yall think about it. Also sorry for not watching and liking your video when it came out. I was really busy and got distracted with keeping updated with world news and whatnot. #Benny Johnson he covers what mainstream media won't. Hey by the way this place looks like so much fun I'd like to bring my challenger down to Australia when I finish the build.

That is an impressive build you have there. All good with the videos, they are still here when ever you want to watch. I will have more videos coming soon. Hopefully the movie will allow me to get out more.

@@DestinationOffroad Do you camp in Sofala and Hill End? Stayed one night in the lodge there a while ago and was not impressed , not clean, no wifi and cost $120 per night... will camp next time
@DestinationOffroad Жыл бұрын
when we went up there, we camped at Sofala the first night and than moved onto Hill End Village campsite. I do not like or rate Australian Hotels and Motels unfortunately. Four and Five star accommodation is extremely different in Australia compared to the rest of the world, and yes, the prices are insanley expensive.

what mechanic shops do you reccomend for old challengers?

Ryan is a Mechanical Engineer, and I am a Aviation Mechanic, so we work on our vehicles ourselves. I feel that you need to know your vehicle inside and out when you go remote. Just incase.

Bad editing, why the horrible background noise?
@DestinationOffroad Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the feedback Carl, I was extremely limited on the footage, maybe that is why the edit was bad. In saying that, what do you suggest I should do to improve my editing? I will check out your videos for inspiration. I regards to the background noise. I do not understand what you mean. I had some music playing at low volume as a overlay, and the rest was either the engines, tyres rolling on the dirt track of the river itself. Thank you again for the comment and hope you can help me improve my editing. Dave

@@DestinationOffroad Yes the road noise / Engine noise too intrusive and music some times was too loud common mistake creators make
@DestinationOffroad Жыл бұрын
Ah yes so just everyday noise. The music can be loud depending on how you are watching, I have heard iphones do not work to well with videos. I actually used to remove much of the vehicle sounds and the environment, but was told to include it, as it brings a more indepth ambiance and the fact this is a 4wd and adventure channel I feel the engine noise needs to be included. Unfortunately I can not please everyone and did check out many of your videos and noticed the sound difference. We use many cameras and they do pick up the surrounding environment well. I feel when you are spending thousands of dollars on equipment for your hobby you get things wrong sometimes. The music was actually reduced to -28db so that it was not intrusive. We also try and prevent the tinny sound that some videos make on other channels and make sure the sound level is constant. I noticed your talking in your videos are in and out. It is like you are using a phone that has directional microphones. Thank you again for your feedback. I will watch a few more of your videos. Dave
@travelandadventurewith4x4 Жыл бұрын
@@DestinationOffroad Yes you should include natural noise but control it, and yes recently I had some mic issues had now acquired some equipment hopefully overcome that never had that problem in the older ones anyway happy creating!
