Oh,my. This is one of the most powerful things I have ever heard, the story of the man at White Castle. This helped me with my 34 day consecration to Jesus thru Mary. I couldn't understand how Mary could be in my heart, now I do. It also gives me words of comfort to share with my youngest daughter who lost her 3 month old son in his sleep. She is very close to converting, but her and her husband still hurt. Thank you.

Thank you, Tanya. I converted just a year before I lost my parents. But what I learned, has made the deaths that followed so much easier to deal with. None of us have any bitterness. Sadness that we can touch them, but joy knowing they pray for us and we will see them again keeps us going and strong.

Strongly urging me to convert to Catholicism. I've watched many videos on suffering and evil in the world and it seemed many of the answers, particularly from protestants, traced back to free-will and respecting our freedom. That answer just didn't cut it for me. I didn't understand how someone I know suffering from a painful degenerative disease had anything to do with their free will. This sermon is much more powerful than any superficial "free-will" or "part of the big plan" answer I was getting elsewhere. Thank you, sincerely.

Beautiful story about the man at White Castle.God bless him Absolutely agree about redemptive suffering My past suffering and crosses has got me very close to God After coming to know about this I always offer my suffering whether big or small to save souls I have also learned that when we trust the lord we see miracles happen My wife had a minor heart attack and the scans showed that 70% of her arteries were blocked The doctor told us that based on the angiogram result either open heart surgery or stents We both prayed and asked Jesus to take control The next day after the angiogram was done the doctor told us that it was a miracle and found no blockage in the arteries. Praise Jesus The doctor told us that he is a catholic and he has not charged us for the procedure. Thank you Jesus Alleluia alleluia alleluia Thanks and God bless Fr Chris for today’s teaching

Thank you, Fr. Chris, for this episode on suffering. Honestly, your presentation and explanation inspires me to increase my love and gratitude to God. Why? I often trace back my life from childhood up to now. It’s so vivid in my memory that I was treated less than others. I was put down, humiliated, burdened with heavy works, gossiped, taken advantage of ,etc. I just didn’t understand why I was experiencing those kind of treatments. What made me survive and change are the memories of my father’s own sufferings that happened in his life, physically, emotionally and spiritually. His acceptance, resignation to God’s Will, his prayerful life, love and forgiveness taught me beautiful lessons on how to live. Jesus’ birth on the stable, His agony in the garden and His death on the cross are my special places of contemplation strengthen by His presence in the Holy Eucharist.

These experiences have given me the courage to reach out to those today in similar situations. I now have more faith-filled friends than I ever dreamt possible - some of whom I’ve met through this KZbin channel. God always brings about a greater good. Another amazing talk! I lost my beautiful mother to covid this past March and my 14yo son was extremely close to his grandma and he has been so angry at God for taking his grandma. Before my mom passed, my son would say Divine Mercy every day, without any prompting and just had deep faith…Now he fights me on going to church and doesn’t pray anymore and is very rebellious, it’s been a tough few months. He finally broke down last night and told me that he’s angry at God. Hopefully he will watch this video with me and have a better understanding of why God allows some things to happen. Fr Chris, of all the talks in your expanding repertoire, this is one of my favorites. I have pushed ‘rewind’ on this talk more than any other because it is the hardest to get through my thick head. IMO, in order to fully comprehend this complicated concept, one must first know and understand God and of His Infinite Mercy. To borrow a phrase coined by Lynn Anderson in the 70’s, God never promised us a rose garden. Rather, he told us to be not afraid, that He would be with us always and to Trust in Him. When one understands this foundation of our faith, I think everything else falls into place. We should pray for the lukewarm and for those who don’t yet know God, for through Him, we find true Joy.

Love your teachings, Father Chris! One insight about which you are likely unaware. According to Jesus’ teachings through Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta, Adam and Eve did participate in the divine nature of God through the Gift of living in the Divine Will. Keep on teaching! You are very gifted in doing so! My family and I are praying for you and all of our priests. Thank you for all you do to advance God’s Kingdom! I am certain that Fr. Seraphim is smiling in Heaven. Father, Alar, I want to tell you that when my mother went on her journey, I step back along the wall to give my sister her moment with her alone. I felt a presence in the room next to me as if I was being comforted. I did not feel that I was alone. I felt a presence of patience that was being given to my mother for to say her goodbyes to us. I went back to the bed for she was trying to get her hands out of the blanket to hug us both and I remove the blankets and received her undying love. My mother had Alzheimer's but in that moment she knew who we were her children. The presence stayed in the room standing back by the wall giving us our moment. I felt all this and still feel this exact feeling when I think about this time as if it is happen right now today. It was beautiful then and more beautiful today it always brings me comfort and I feel at peace. I later in my life and before that day had done and probably still do things that offend him but he is still present waiting on me. I can feel that, and I am trying to follow him and trying to please him and listen to what he is leading me to learn each day. He has that much faith in me and I am learning to have faith in him. God Bless the world that everyone will please look to him, our Queen Mother and God our Father in all that they want for us one day at a time. Just try and soon it will be a habit and then it will just be a way of life.

Father, is it possible to do a talk about the importance of dad's living their Faith? Mom's are almost expected to be the teacher of the Faith. Dad's aren't. So when mom takes us to church, well, of course. But when dad lives his Faith , promotes going to Church, teaching devotions, etc.,it carries SO MUCH more weight. Dad is the head of the family, so if it's important to dad, there must be something to it. Dad's have no.idea.how.important.they.are. in the religious formation of their children!

Prayer for Inner Healing Lord Jesus, You came to heal our wounded and troubled hearts. We beseech Thee; to heal the torments that causes anxiety in our hearts; we beg Thee, in a particular way, to heal all who are the cause of sin. We beseech Thee, to come into our lives and heal us of the psychological harms that struck us in our early years and from the injuries that they caused throughout our lives. Lord Jesus, You know our burdens. We lay them all on your Good Shepherd’s Heart. We beseech Thee - by the merits of the great, open wound in Your heart - to heal the small wounds that are in ours. Heal the pain of our memories, so that nothing that has happened to us will cause us to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety. Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of all the evil that is rooted in our lives. We want to forgive all those who have offended us. Look to those inner sores that make us unable to forgive. You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart, please, heal our hearts. Heal, O Lord Jesus, those intimate wounds that causes us physical illness. We offer our hearts to Thee. Accept them, O Lord, purify them and give us the sentiments of your Divine Heart. Help us to be meek and humble. Heal us, O Lord, from the pain caused by the death of our loved ones, which is oppressing us. Grant us to regain peace and joy in the knowledge that You are the Resurrection and the Life. Make us authentic witnesses to Your Resurrection, Your victory over sin and death, Your living presence among us. Amen🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Kyrie Eleison! Christe Eleison! Kyrie Eleison! Christe Eleison!
