I absolutely love your videos! Leon is adorable! I noticed he has granulation tissue in the video. My son gets this too with his gtube. Creams prescribed didn’t work, and then we found a cream on the internet recommended by gtube sites called: Granulotion. It’s only sold through a direct website from the manufacturer. It’s about $40 for a small tube and comes in a week. When we put it on it turned the tissue gray/black which the product says is normal. It shrimped it and In 3 days it FELL off!!!! The site looked normal! Then it came back in 2 weeks which is normal for granulation tissue. We put in on overnight and it fell off by morning! Miracle cream! Also we use over the counter Calmoseptine everyday to protect skin. You have to use it on healthy skin when using granulation because the granulotion can ONLY be applied to the granulation part or it will cause redness to healthy skin. We got clearance by his doctor to use and they said families love the product! Hope this helps Leon not itch anymore :-)

JJ Time I’m so glad you saw the post! I’m a parent to a new Tubie toddler and I research endlessly everyday for an alternative to silver nitrate because I too heard it can be uncomfortable. I was so skeptical of the granulotion but we were willing to try it- and were happy to see it was all natural and totally took away the granulation tissue to our surprise! I know I sound like a salesman but I found learning tips from other parents videos/blogs has be the most helpful at managing gtube- which let’s be honest can be an everyday adventure! I hope granulotion can work for Leon- but as always check with doctor. Our doctor didn’t recommended it until we brought it up 🤦‍♀️ btw you are such great parents to Leon! Keep up the great parenting- always look forward to new videos

just a heads up..these g-tube stomas tend to get yeast on occaision..ive taken care of many kiddos with g-tubes..you might want to ask to have it cultured..ive found that balmex and such things tend to make it worse because yeast needs moistness....just saying

My husband has never cooked a meal or washes dishes... lol Even I do all the grilling cuz he burns it!! Haha Have you ever grilled ur pork chops? Its soooo goood!! Love little Leon, He's such a sweet boy! I was wondering (and I ask with all due respect) what or why is the reason Leon can't walk? When my daughter tube site itched the diaper cream didn't relieve the itch, Try some hydrocortisone cream. It helps alot. :)

Thanks for the tip, it is still slightly red so I will try that cream for sure. Leon has balance issues due to hearing loss and his ankles curve inward hence the braces also he has a slight curve in his spine and on top of that his developmental delays also effect his walking

I took care of 12 girls all with g-tubes where I used to work. They would get red like that around their tube too, but it’s really good that you put that cloth there around it because it does help. I think the skin gets irritated because the tube is a foreign object, like a dermatitis. I get the same thing if I wear fake jewelry. My skin gets red and itchy. Nothing to be concerned about. Just do like your dr told you. Could also be from being in a hotter climate? Getting sweaty and that skin gets irritated? Just a thought.

Not rude at all people ask this all the time, He does have hearing loss and one ear is more severe than the other but he also responds to things without his aids on and as he has gotten older he is constantly taking them off, we do make him wear them every day just not all day long
