i ended up stumbeling on this video and man that's awesome. Sometime I wonder if there will be a second video game crash like the one in 1983. With how greedy the video game industry continue it would not even surprise me. Anyway amazing video :)

The beginning focuses on "blacks" and "women" in games,as one of the reasons for the failures of the industry is laziness, full of contradiction and just outright wrong, for example, there was a famous black Samurai, I heard the next Ghost of Tusima lead is using a female shinobi as the main character and people are already deciding it's gonna suck based off that, Women warriors have existed throughout history. female shinobis existed, like the kunoichi, Then to use the idea that we use games to escape into another reality but can't accept this alternate world if it doesn't match our patchy knowledge of the past? The only thing that kept me on the video is your focus on the insane corporatisation of the gaming industry, and the need to provide returns to investors, you should check out the video by the More Perfect Union on "How Private Equity Is Ruining Gaming" Developers are getting ruined atm, profiteering is ruing the art.

i feel like diversity in gaming shouldnt be seen as such a negative trait. i think that most of us would be fine with a game that features unrealistic characters if the core gameplay was good, at the end of the day these games have large playerbases and there will be people gaining a lot more from the diversity compared to those who complain

Diversity was never the problem, it's these rich out of touch executive expecting me to praise them because they "include" my people, sometimes in the worse way possible and then using me as a shield when their poorly made product fail. especially company like disney who use muslim protagonist as selling point while they filmed near and payed leader of a muslim concentration camp to save money.
