When my cat was alive, he used to stare at me when I slept for a number of years. I only know this because of the dozens of times I had to get up for the bathroom and noticed him just sitting there, staring away. I never did figure out what this meant.

My Grandma's longtime best bud and baby passed away, and she was really lonely without her. I went out and adopted a kitten to surprise her with. She's in love, her tux is her baby, she spoils that cat. Unfortunately for me but great for my Grandma she was adopted just before lockdown. So, now every time I see my Grandma, she sits in the doorway, just enough so I can see her eyes, and stares at me eyes half closed and moving around with me like "Who the hell are you?! Same. I never understood when people say that their cat or cats are aloof and are not affectionate. All three of mine are like my shadows especially one of my girls, she is either cuddling with me in bed of following me to the bathroom or watching me do dishes or housework, and if I leave her line of sight she will run and find me and meows at me for it, and when we do sleep she crawls under the covers and sleeps between my legs with her head on my knee, my male he likes to sleep on my pillow with me and he will put a paw on my face, he has to always be touching me, our other female is just content cuddling with either myself or my fiance she isn't picky. I have never not had a super affectionate cat, all the ones I have come across is like this, I just assumed everyone's cats were this way too. 😂

I had a cat that while I was on fl studio he would look carefully, for more than 1 hour sometimes, while I was mixing and producing, looking attentively to every movement of my hands without distracting for nothing. It was too funny how interested he seemed to be watching me over the desk. After sometime he simply disappeared and never came back I think he's somewhere using the knowledge he learned to start his own musical career.

I knew all those ,but it took a long while to understand them ,it requires real good observation skills !!! And when you don't know much about the particular animal & he / she gets sick ,or injured & you got no idea what he/ she's trying to tell you ,that'll be a huge trouble !! I had those incidents with a rabbit ,birds ( not my choice ,my sister got them when we were teens ,I am against having birds in cages or fish in tanks ,so on ! ) fish , a lizard & turtles ,so on ,back then .Simply because I didn't know well about them ,if I did back then ,they'd had lived for a much longer time ,many more years !!! My sister fat cat used to swat at anything that moved in a hateful manner and one day after years of anger she just waltzed up to me on the couch and climbed on my chest and just sat on it and started purring and she just stared at me but she looked angry. A friend that stayed over would have that experience. She would wake up to find catus felis tabious staring deep into her eyes. She was convinced Tabby was trying to take over her body. Mind you she did better than I did because my bedroom has dormer windows. So at 4 am he would decide it was time for breakfast and he would run up the wall and sit on the dormer window sill for a bit then jump down. He was right. 6 Kg of cat from 1 metre does wake you up. If it didn't sufficiently he would just do it again. If I was partially awake he would engineer a semi miss as though it was an unfortunate misjudgment on his part. I've topped an tailed now and he seldom gets on on the sill anymore. Now I get woken to headbutting which is much better,

My cat stares at me for a number of reasons - in order of frequency 1. Rapprochement. He wants second breakfast or afternoon tea or second dinner. 2. Anger. He hasn't had dinner quickly enough. 3. Scared. Maybe a loud noise and he stares at cat daddy to check if it is ok. Usually a 'its ok satisfies him' 4. Admiration. Only once. I caught a possum on his balcony by it's tail and swung it around to discourage repeated intrusions and then swung it into a bush. He was clearly Wow cat daddy is the greatest I wish I could do that! 5. Rapprochement 2. A rat came up a tree to his balcony and as quick as anything he whipped out and grabbed it by the neck with all canines. Whilst I support rodent reduction in my building there is rodent baiting. So almost as quick as catus felis tabius I picked him up and tried to shake rat out of his maw while the rat swished his ratty tail against my hand. Half an hour later he dropped rat out of his maw and I bundled him inside and closed the cat door. Ditto with balcony pigeons. My only objection there is I am still finding feathers from the last one he dragged in through the cat door. In all cases he clearly thought cat daddy was a spoilsport. 6. Boyish rough and tumble. He clearly thinks that I am a boy so I should be up for a bit of rough and tumble with claws and fangs. Doesn't do this ever with cat mommy because she's a girl. 7 Are you OK? Sometimes you hurt yourself stubbing a toe or such. He looks at me with great concern if i express pain. Its nice of him and he rubs me up to make it better. 8. WTF? Sometimes he stares without any obvious reason. I think it is just to shake me up cause thats what cats do. Unless he is by a door and then it is obvious.

I forgot #9. 9. Sex Stare. I guess it is universal but big wide eyes staring intently. What are they thinking?? Give ito her Daddy. Give it to her??? My 2nd cat with my family had a very special bond with me when he was a stray cat. He was a happy cat with his family and even with our 1st cat,too. He did showed his belly and his paws curled up and even showed a happy face. When he was crying in the bathtub he had a cancerous tumor in his body or in the shower. My parents knew something was wrong with him. The last time that I had him on my lap. He curled up on my lap. He spent the night with my sister for the last snuggle. He got put to sleep in March of 1994. My family had him a little bit over 12 years of friendship with him. He was a wonderful friend and a pet.

I have 2 cats. Oreo is a black and white male cat. I have known him for 8 years. He has been my cat for 7 years. Even before he was my cat, he would look in my eyes. We have always had a connection through our eyes. When he looks in my eyes, I feel love from him. My other cat, Bella, is a female Siamese Lynx Point. I have known her for about 8 years, and she has been my cat for about 6 years. She almost never looks in my eyes. She is friendly to me now. She has been a lap cat for about 5 years now. She wants me to pet her, and she often sleeps with me. The only time she looks in my eyes is when Oreo is doing something she doesn't like, and she wants me to make Oreo to stop doing it.

I'm pretty sure mine stare because they feel sorry for me. I have to get my own food, clean my own bathroom, I have to use water and soap to take a bath and bless my heart, I don't have fur, I can't nap all day because I have to work. Yes... one of my boys, the oldest, positions himself so he is at eye-level. From there he will stare into my soul and drown it with his kitty love, if I pet him he will get closer at stare even harder. Last nighr my cat basically shot up and kept looking up at my window(room in basement). I looked where he seemed to be looking many times but couldn’t see what caught his eyes. The other thing is she will snuggle up to me and stare or sleep mod with eyes partially open.
