Why does no one talk about Particle Illusion?

A review of the particle generator for use with Adobe After Effects.
‪@BorisFXco‬ offer a free, standalone version of Particle Illusion, which is the product I'm reviewing here. There is a pay-for upgrade, but you don't need that to get some pretty impressive results. I'm not affliated with Boris FX in any way. I made this video to shout about PI as I think it's pretty cool and I've made it my mission to share information about any free resources I find. I think for those of us on a budget, Particle Illusion Standalone is a great free alternative to expensive plugins like Trapcode Particular and Superluminal Stardust.
After explaining a bit about the software, I then show how to use it for a really simple requirement... rendering out an explosion which I then bring into After Effects.

If you're new, then Particle Illusion is an excellent starter and its free!

@@shivangipriya4153 The free version is Stand alone so wont work with AE 2023. the paid version is intergrated in to AE as a plugin. Also works with as number of other programs like Avid Media Composer

Why is position and rotation bizare choise. I mean positioning is more or less directly what you see in the viewport and with the easing you control most if it. its odd that its not present but frankly I would much more just set position directly in the viewport. Also position and rotation of particles is seldom something you really edit. And if you do you most likely edit the emittor root position and rotation inside another program where you align it to footage

Thanks for your comments. Maybe it is just my use of language but I think we are saying pretty much the same thing, I say “bizarre”, you say “odd”. Probably a better word would be “inconsistent”. I hope you liked my review anyway.
