Yes the Salt Lake temple is very significant. My husband has the privilege of working on it and the stories he tells me of Satan trying thwart this work is mind blowing. The adversary knows how important the completion of this temple is and he’s trying so hard to stop it. My husband has witnessed many miracles of people lives being spared, promptings to go check on wires and framing before it got covered up with sheet rock etc. I know there is a reason that my husband is there. It’s been wonderful to watch his testimony grow as he feels he is doing the most important work he’s ever done thus far…helping to build a house of the Lord that is worthy to be His.

Kaitlyn, I so enjoyed your episode today. Your spirit is so beautiful! I love you. I remember reading that part of the SL Temple dedication prayer. I thought of Covid and when the temples were closed, and how things worked out where appointments could be made and they began to open again. That was a difficult time for many. My younger brother had cancer. We had already lost Dad, Maternal Grandma who lived with us, and dear Mom, who passed in 2021. After a short time caring for Clay, the younger brother with bile duct cancer, he passed on Sunday, November 21, 2021. I've lost almost all my dear ones, but I know I will see them again. Mom and I loved to attend the Temple together. She was my best friend. I miss her so much. I have been so alone. It's been hard, but though my trials have been more difficult than I thought possible, I'm grateful my parents taught me the importance of this wonderful restored gospel. You are such a blessing. Thank you for sharing your faith and testimony. I wish I could have that faith which would allow me to see the Lord's face. I know He lives and is my Savior and that Heavenly Father is my Eternal Father in Heaven. I know they love us, and the Father is sad when we don't appreciate His Beloved Son. Sometimes I've been so depressed after going through so many challenges that if I didn't know these things, I probably would have given up. I guess there is a purpose in suffering, but it's been unbearable at times. Jesus understands. I love Him. He has so much patience and love with individuals like me who are still learning and growing. Part of me wants Him to come, but there are so many who need Him and are lost. I know He cares for them, and so do I. Your light is beautiful. The Lord is pleased with what you have given of your time and talents. Thank you so much. I live in Taylorsville, UT, right by the new Taylorsville Temple. I need to get my recommend renewed before the Lord returns. It just expired. Much love and gratitude. Ida. ❤️🌺🇺🇲

After hearing you talk about your love for the temple and how your mom prepared you, I felt impressed to share this with you: I want to share my story from early March 2020: One day I was driving very early in the morning to the temple so I could do baptisms. As I got over the mountain, I could see the beautiful Cedar City Temple all lit up and glowing. I started to sing I love to see the temple with a few adjustments to the lyrics so as to apply to an endowed person. I love to see the temple I'm going there today To feel the Holy Spirit To listen and to pray For the temple is a house of God A place of love and beauty I prepared myself when I was young This is my sacred duty I love to see the temple I'll go inside today I've promised to my father I always will obey For the temple is a holy place Where we were sealed together As a child of God, I know this truth My family is forever Then I started creating a 3rd verse. I didn't get it all done by the time I got inside. My mind was preoccupied with new lyrics. Because I was distracted, I ended up accidentally leaving my temple recommend and driver's license in the temple that day. I discovered my driver's license was missing when I was trying to find it to complete my tax return. I looked everywhere for that little wallet that held just my driver's license and Temple recommend. I started to get really upset because it takes a while to replace a temple recommend here because of the timing of interviews. I was more upset about losing my temple recommend, then I was about my driver's license. I cried to my Heavenly Father, "Where is my temple recommend?" He let me know it was in His House. So I ended up driving all the way back (80 miles) to the temple early the next morning to retrieve my little wallet. I ended up doing more Temple work since I drove all that way again. I shared the third verse to the song with some of the temple workers the following Monday (my regular day) and they were so delighted. One of those workers was Del Parson, the guy who painted Christ in the red robe and a few other wonderful paintings of our Savior. About a month later I added a 4th verse as well. I recently requested permission to record my version with added verses since so many people have told me I should submit it to the church. The answer I got was no. So many people have made additional verses but the original artist's son told me that she feels the song it complete as is. I get it. I hope they don't get upset that I share this with you here. I sing all 4 verses on my drive to the temple each time I go. Verses 3 and 4 are as follows: I love to see the temple Its beauty is sublime I'm worthy to be found there Eternal life is mine For the temple is my favorite place I love to visit often In His Holy House I long to be All troubles be forgotten So come unto His temple For Jesus will return I'll tell Him I am grateful For all that I have learned In the temple we are tutored in The presence of our Savior In His Holy House we do His will In Jesus we'll find favor

So awesome! My comment made the video 🤗!! By the way, when you mention ADHD I assume you are referring to when you sometimes go off script, but that’s not a bad thing at all. I have an experience that might offer another perspective…. At mutual a few weeks ago, I gave a lesson to the young men about electrical circuitry. I put together a couple boards with J-boxes on them connected by pieces of conduit that they could pull wire to and wire up switches, lights, and wall sockets. This was a lesson that I received a prompting to put together after my bishop asked those of us with life skills to find ways to expose the youth to those skills. I was so sure about this prompting that I put a few hundred dollars of my own money into it just so I would have something to show the bishop before asking him to blindly give me church founds for it. I originally was expecting a longer mutual to have more time to teach. But I got the standard amount of time. And the discussion in the beginning of mutual took longer than usual. So my time was shortened even more. Long story short, the lesson I had planned somewhat got thrown out the window, and I ended up having the young men come up and start working on the boards while I talked them through everything. I kept thinking to myself, “Man this is a disaster. Nothing has gone as planned.” Then when I plugged in the boards, and the young men turned on their light switches and saw the light bulbs turn on, their faces lit up and they started to high five each other. Later my bishop and his counselors told me that some of the young men were really inspired by the lesson. And they are going to find more opportunities for me to teach. I realized that even though I felt like everything was falling apart, the Holy Ghost was guiding me the entire time and that maybe gods way of conducting the lesson left a bigger impression on the young men than my way would have. I think your tangents are a similar thing. If the Holy Ghost prompts you to go off script then you should listen to that prompting because maybe someone listening will benefit from what you have to say. But you never know if you restrain yourself from saying it. Those are just my thoughts. Great video!!

I thought of that same thing while I was getting a fair going to help warm our home today. When a piece of wood falls, that doesn't mean that it's a failure. Sometimes that's just our perception. But sometimes Heavenly father causes things to fall into place so that they can work the way he and we need them to

I love this! The temple renovation and timing has been much on my mind of late, not just because of the 7 years for renovations and all the symbology that entails, but also because of Isa 2:2 "...and all nations shall flow unto it." Let's not forget that when the Salt Lake Temple was first built, Open Houses and tours weren't a thing. With the significance of this particular temple, I can't imagine the Open House once it's completed will be short. How many people, from how many nations, will come to this sacred House? Also, I recall from one of Jared's videos, one of his quotes from an article states that they have a 'specific' date for the renovations to be complete by. I feel there is definite significance to all of this.

Thank you for actually saying it, too many hide from it. I believe it is possible for him to visit all of us who love him and who desire to see him face to face. This is the first video of yours I have seen. I find myself wishing you and I could sit across from each other and just talk. The early saints covered the foundations of the Salt Lake Temple to hide it from Johnston's army. When the threat was over, and they dug it out again, they discovered the foundation had cracked. They had to pull up the entire foundation of the temple and do it all over again. They originally used sandstone, but the new foundation was granite. That's a portion of why it took 40 years from groundbreaking to dedication.

During the Utah war Brigham young buried the salt lake temple from the army. When the threat of them was over he had the members unbury the temple. He realized the foundation of rock he was using, which was sandstone had crumbled. That is when he chose to begin using granite rock that was up Big Cottonwood canyon. You can only imagine how long that took to transport all that granite down into the valley.
