Why Does Ranked Still Suck Tekken 8 Ranked

I’m a Tekken king Lili and I had the most trouble getting Kishin. Once I hit Fujin I realized my fundamentals were pretty bad so I stopped playing rank for a month and just focused on learning more about my character and labbing other characters. After about a month of just building that knowledge and practicing certain skills I came back to rank and got Tekken king within two weeks. Now that I’m Tekken king I’m going to do the same thing again. I feel like once you reach a certain rank, the skill level increases significantly. A lot of people keep trying to climb the ranks without actually improving which is why there’s such a big skill gap between those ranks(Fujin to Kishin and Tekken king to Tekken Emperor). Despite the ranks being literally right next to each other you can feel the skill difference between them. So I’m going to take a break, learn some more sh*t, maybe enter a few tourneys and THEN hop back into rank.

Yes I can’t tell you how much I stress other players to leave ranked for a bit and play quick match. I play more quick match than anything! Also congrats on the ranks I hope to reach supreme next.

Learn all the plus frames on your hardest matchups. Then learn the low and grab animations. Focus on your main punishable attacks, with that being said only use your punishable attacks on whiffs and punishment. Lili is good with her d1,2 mixups and b 1~f cancels. If you can stay plus with Lili you’ll have a better time, just ss when they attack during your pressure.

Bro tekken heading down the same path as soul calibur. no one gonna play this shit unless they fix the imbalances and rank system. used to be a solid game now its just trash, your rank means nothing in this game , just means you spammed enough against chars that have a harder chance of breaking spam. every char has that one character where is ridicolously easy, theres way to much imbalance when every char has one specific char that torch's them.

Orange ranks were the struggle for me. I'm newer to compettive Tekken, and learning to play competitively getting thru orange was a fucking NIGHTMARE.

I play Devil Jin Tekken King, good luck on the Tekken God grind m8. I think I bounced around between Bushin and Kishin before I got TK so Kishin prolly gave me the most trouble, definitely after the 1.04 and 1.05 patch.

Im currently at Raijin, literally the first rank of every color gave me trouble. It’s ether getting to it or leaving it. After that I’m good.

You can get to fujin with pressure and flow charts alone. If you know the fundamentals you can get 50 50 and predictions off easily just have to mix it up and hit more lows. Even grab because good players can break throws. doesn’t make you cheap. If you use plus frame attacks and stay within frames you’ll beat almost any player up to fujin. If they block after your plus attacks hit them low it’s the easiest way to get the damage and stay plus.

Another tip don’t throw negative frame moves without a clear read on the opponent saw that with the second Claudio fight And chances are he expects you doing the same setup. Another tip use Nina,s sidestep pressure+ duck launchers and duck lows

Tekken Emp Devil Jin and I had the hardest time with getting to Kishin. Raijin and Fujin are for some reason the final boss versions of the cheap knowledge check characters imo. Soon as I got out of that I had way more fun

Ranked is definitely an improvement from T7 but it still needs some work, most notably dealing with pluggers, the rest is pretty good though tbh. I'm a big fan of the Tekken Prowess matchmaking fix because now system smurfing has basically been all but removed and you won't have GoD players beating up on red rank players with their alt characters anymore like in T7.

As a pro competitor who has won $80,000 in Tekken prizes, I am stuck in the Gairyu rank. People are using macros and still rage quitting. I'm not the only pro who feels that way either. I would like to also add that a lot of these players cheat their ways to the top.

Yes I’ve seen tons of cheaters while playin online. Some are hard to notice but I’ve noticed that cheaters often time just stand in place and wait for auto punishes

Nina is hella solid, but I recommend Ryzingsol and TheFuryOptimal combo's they give out amazing guides with shown inputs on screen. So you can sit back and practice them. Good luck!

I'm at tekken emperor and I'd say maybe kishin is where i had the most struggle or maybe release date week red/purple ranks ^^" most top level players were already at fujin/halfway through the ranks by the first 2 weeks or so when tekken 8 came out

I had the most trouble with kaz in the orange ranks but lemme give you some tips to fight kazuya rq cuz I can see u dk the matchup well first off here at 11:11 this is -17, 11:15 this is -12, 12:07 this is -13, 12:29 this is +5 on block and is a rare frame trap used by kazuya players, 12:52 this is -13 or -12 but it high crushes so be careful trying to jab I’d say figure out your best WS punish for Nina and zafina here and just go from there
