It is complicated..I feel your pain, when I first hit battle ruler it was very frustrating.. i took a break from ranked and sometimes took a break from it all together I went back in and I finally hit Fujin. I didn’t ever get a demotion risk but I could not build the momentum I needed to get the rank.. just hang in there.. maybe create a Smurf account start at the beginning build your rank up that way and also do some player matches..I say this because it keeps you in practice without the frustration.. I hope this is helpful

From blues to tekken king it seems like a lot of people struggle playing against panic moves or defensive options like powercrush & parries. Parries like laws b1+3 or Leroy’s b2 start at 5frames. So in a frame trap situation where your +5 and try your i10 jab or df i13 df 1 a parry can steal your turn. Same concept with cancans i14 ( could start 9~12) . This is where active offense/ defense comes into play. First see how they react to your plus frames. Then respond accordingly if you feel as if they aren’t respecting them.

I’ll say Drag/Feng/Lee/Jin/Kaz/ King/ and Yosh because everyone I’m friends, or acquaintances with that plays these characters act like they have it bad, or they are the most hard working because of learning inputs. Ignoring the fact the benefits they get from having a character that doesn’t have many weaknesses compared to others.
