Why does the chainsaw cut crookedly? Top five reasons. First a little useful theory, then I'll show you how to fix it. It can almost always be fixed, or you can buy a new bar and chain.
🔗 Chainsaw chain saw sharpener - alii.pub/6j0yvn
But to keep it from bothering you in the future, let's figure out the factors. The first factor and a dumb chainsaw chain. Suppose you hit a nail with your chainsaw. The chainsaw cuts noticeably worse, and we start pushing the bar harder forcing it to cut with the same enthusiasm. What happens to the chainsaw? The sharp teeth cut through the wood easily. The saw's teeth that get caught in the nail don't cut through the wood layer. They roll over like a car wheel over a bump. But the car has shock absorbers but the chain and chain saw bar don't. We start pushing harder to make it cut. The result is uneven wear on the bar. The longer we turn a blind eye to that, the more serious the wear. All of the possible reasons why a chainsaw is crooked are listed in this video.
A chainsaw bar can be repaired with your own hands.
I showed you how to repair a chainsaw bar in the video.
Now you know why the chain saw is crooked.

*1. Friends, in your country it's not called a tire but a bar. I apologize for the inaccuracy of the translation* 2. Subscriber *Thomas Gronek* suggested another reason. - Check the gauge of the chain: the gauge is the thickness of the drive link, measured in thousandths of an inch (a 63 gauge chain has drive links that are 0.063" thick). If the bar is stamped or labeled 63, and the chain is a 50 gauge (for example), the chain will wobble from side to side, buy the correct gauge chain. also, if the gauges match between the bar and chain, the guide rails might be splayed open. If so, get an anvil, a mallet, and a piece of flat stock the same thickness as the gauge of the chain, , , Put the flat stock between the rails, and beat the rails together on the anvil, until the correct gap has been obtained. Oregon also makes a rail closing device that works okay (don't smash, or squeeze to tightly; the chain must move freely). Uneven depth gauges can usually be THE biggest issue. the all must be the same, and not to short. If one is too short, let it be, DO NOT file the other's to match the short one. File them to the correct height using a depth gauge tool. Thanks for the presentation

Its cutting on an angle because the bar is off cut.one side is worn down enough to cut uneven.

@@dennisketterer814 This is the first reason. If the bar of the chainsaw is worn out, even if you put in a new chain, the saw will cut crookedly.

Yes, that's a nice idea. I might use the table saw, and reduce the speed and use a fine grinding wheel, or a blank blade with wet/dry paper glued to it.

That happened to me. A friend of mine showed me what it was. The one side was uneven on the one side. We ground it down and it worked great. Never again.

I would like to emphasize how very dangerous an angle grinder is. Running it without a firm grip from both hands is deadly foolish. Use your bench grinder.

Chainsaw chain should stop on its own when you let off the gas. You don’t want to spin freely with your hand.
