I think I know why people hate it: There are at least 3 main reasons. Reason 1: It is the same game again. Reason 2: Its locking Modern Warfare behind an $80 game. Reason 3: They are locking SIX maps behind DLC. Six maps which came WITH the original Modern Warfare.

I think what made Black Ops 2 the best future warfare game in the series was that it wasn't too far into the future. You had some futuristic technology but it still played like the previous games. No super jumps, sliding across the ground, and wall running. They need to take a break from the future and go back to their routes. A World War 2, Cold War, and Modern War game? Stuff that we haven't seen in a while. Dice listened to the fans and decided to give us a World War 1 game seeing that there hasn't been many games done in that area. I just feel the COD companies wouldn't go back to those era's simply because they'd be limited on kill streaks in the multiplayer.

This Infinite Warfare game makes sense. It takes COD into space for the first time (ignoring the space station mission from Ghosts) with actual, full-on space battles. This is why there had to be another "futuristic" COD, because full-on space battles in COD haven't been done yet. It's pretty much the final frontier before going back to other settings. Infinite Warfare should be the last futuristic COD in the series for a while. I honestly thought the trailer looked great and I'm looking forward to playing the campaign.
