I had let the "Israel today is not Israel in the Bible" argument get to me because they don't believe in Jesus/ follow God. Then I started reading the Bible more...... they fell away from God, worshipped other gods and did evil over and over. Then God still held true to his promise to them despite Israel not holding true to Him. Definitely reset my view back to Israel being Gods chosen people despite modern Israel turning their backs on God, just like they did so many times in the Bible. Either way it seems dishonest to call ourselves Christians, then hate modern day Israel even though our calling is to bring Jesus to the lost.

For me, knowing the Bible describes the scattering of Israel that they will be scattered throughout all nations of the earth, for me, it's not too far of a stretch to think that maybe some of these scattered Israelites might have written down some of their history. If you love the gathering of Israel and the return of the children of Israel to the land of Israel, then I would invite you to read 3rd Nephi chapter 20. It is one chapter among many loving on the ancient covenant children of Israel. 🎉

It would be a far stretch for me to dismiss the plethora of miracles that restored the Jews to the Land of Israel, and the miricles that continue to protect them. (Country born in a day, 6 days war, the most recent war, etc.) Let's check back in a few years or every few years and reconsider whether these are the true children of Israel or not. Why were two unarmed Christian women shot by Israeli snipers while going to the toilet at their church in Gaza? Why were Christians killed while they were taking shelter at their 800-year-old church in Gaza City, when an IDF bomb hit beside their church? How many of their homes have been turned to rubble? How would you feel if armed drones were constantly flying overhead, while you are without food? Why was Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu-Akieh shot by the IDF before October 7th? These people were not killed by Hamas. Why have these people been ignored by most Christians in the U.S.? Are the Christians being killed in Gaza “Semites”? Read Matthew 25:31-46.

I'm only 3 minutes in and already I'm rolling my eyes as you continue biblical history reference to Israel. Israel was created in 1948. Before then it was Palestine. And for thousands of years AD, there were Muslims, Christians and Jews happily coexisting. The holy sepulchre was built around 300AD and dome of the rock around 700AD. I don't believe people hate Israel as it is a beautiful place rich in history as the Bible literally comes to life there. People "hate" what the Israeli governments supremacy attitude and lack of respect for other religions and races determined to dominate by any means possible.

These things are said to have happened in the 7th century and they can produce nothing from that time. Unlike Scripture of which we have existent copies from the 1st thru early 4th centuries and later, all recorded and passed on by those who heard and witnessed the Words and events. It takes as little as two generations for myths to become established as reality when there are no written records that tell the truth of the matter. Mecca didn't exist at that time and was not the first city on earth where Adam and Eve are said, (as falsely claimed by the 37 different qurans), to have come down when cast out of Eden. Mecca was not a major city or even a city of note as claimed, it simply can't be found in any historical documents such as trade or official records of which there are many from the supposed prophets time. An absolute evil we see today is the false religion of Islam and all it produces, not the people they are lost and truly deceived. It's a death cult supposedly founded in the 7th century AD, which wasn't written about until the 10th and 11th. More than 280 years separate the lifetime of the so called prophet of the early mid 7th century and the first written records. Islam means "submission" or "submit", willingly or by force. Based on a supposed prophet who can't even be proven to have existed as nothing claimed is accurate when checked against historical records. Many don't realize the word "alah" simply means a god with no name, a supposed god who condones the greed and lusts of men who created it. One of the main issues is the weakness we see from far to many pulpits, pastors and other Christian leaders not peacefully speaking out about the evil we see all around us, (Eph 5:11), this and many more such verses come to mind. Thank you Pastor Lovell for not being one of their number, for the bravery to speak truth in this age of lies. Where Christianity is weak Totalitarianism/Islam, all forms of evil, swoop in to take power and fill that void. They're counterfeits of the enemy that are spread by force, they always have been. Speaking truth with love can sound harsh, cold and accusatory but it's one of the most loving things we are commanded to do. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ always spoke truth, even when it offended the hearers, those He knew had been given the ability to harm Him, (Mat 13:57, Mat 7:23, Mat 15:12, Mar 9:21, Mar 10:34 &more). He warned us over 2000 years ago that many would be offended, (Mat 10:34, Luk 12:53 &more), by the truth found only in Him, (Jhn 14:6, Eph 4:21 &more). Just one of His many warnings to us can be found in, (Mat 24:9-13). We know that He was the Word made flesh for us, (Jhn 1:1, 14). All instruction found in Scripture comes directly from Him, the Holy Spirit, (Rom 8:10-18), and our Father in Heaven, (Rom 8:15) for they are One, (Deu 6:4, Jhn 10:30 &more). He's told us that no one can come to Him unless they're given Him by His Father, (Jhn 17:2 &more), faith is a gift of God, (Eph 2:8, Jhn 6:37-40 &more). He is the author and finisher of our faith, (Heb 12:2), we will stand for He is able to make us, (Rom 14:4). This incorrectly taught and misquoted teaching of our Lord is found in, (Mat 5:39b, Luk 6:29a). When people are unaware of historical context and fail to pay attention to detail they will continue to misapply and not understand the clear teaching of Scripture. In the Roman era turning the other cheek to someone didn't mean doing it meekly to just let them strike you again. It meant turning the other cheek making them aware you'd done so, you were taking a stand. Christians are not to be doormats, they're to defend their Lord with His Word, themselves, their families and all those around them from evil, (Luk 22:36 &more). Our Lord Himself commanded we be armed even if it meant selling outer clothing that was for protection and comfort, so we could protect ourselves, our loved ones and those around us. We must also always be armed with the Sword of Truth, (Eph 6:17, Heb 4:12, Rev 1:16-2:12-2:16). I must add in defense only, the Gospel is never to be spread by force, only by and with the proven Word of God, (Psa 119:160), as is the clear doctrine of Scripture. We see so many quoting, (Mat 7:1), even unbelievers, misunderstanding and twisting what our Lord was teaching, in their attempts to silence righteous judgement. They of course ignore, (Mat 7:2-5), in which our Lord tells us to first make sure it is with and in His righteousness we judge, (Jhn 7:24). Removing anything that could obscure that righteous judgement, ourselves and our own failings must be understood and put aside, before we can see clearly. With the Word of God first informing and giving us all truth, (2 Tim 3:16-17, Eph 6:10-20). Do you think the Apostle Paul was speaking only of himself in (Eph 6:19-20), or was he teaching us all to pray to be given Jesus' truth, for the strength to speak that truth boldly, after having put on the whole armor of God? We can and must take a stand as we are commanded to call out evil we see all around us, take no part in it and not remain silent or allow ourselves to be silenced, (Eph 5:11 &more). We have recorded for us in, (Gen 3:15), what is known as the "protoevangelium", it is the very first promise of our Lord and Savior to come. From before creation our Father in heaven knew He'd have to save us from ourselves and that is why He came/sent His Son, (Jhn 3:16-17, Jhn 10:30, Jhn 14:10-11), to do for us what we could never do, (Col 2:14), freely and loving giving us the Spirit of Grace, (Eph 2:8), salvation, eternal life, found only in, by and thru Him, (Jhn 14:6). So get out there my brothers and sisters and proclaim the Gospel of our great God and Savior Christ Jesus, (Tit 2:13). Redeeming the time He's given us to honor Him and His commands to us: "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them", (Eph 2:10). Humble yourself, repent, pray and cry out to Him, He will hear you, (Pro 15:29 &more). Pray for peace, correction and healing in our own land and across the world. Pray for the peace, prosperity and well being of Israel, (Gen 12:3 &more). Pray for protection, provision, healing and guidance, for the truth found only in and thru Him, (Jhn 14:6 &more). We must pray and repent of our sins to Him, the only name Jesus Christ, under heaven by which man must be saved, (Acts 4:12, Phl 2:9-11). Hello John! I have been listening to your WP videos for several years and have really enjoyed them. All due respect though, I have to respectfully disagree with your viewpoint in this video clip, and I truly think you need to dig into this subject more. As a Pastor, I understand as a Pastor you get a lot of messages like this all the time on all kinds of subjects, so please don’t take this as some mindless attack on you personally. Because it’s not meant that way. In this video I think your first mistake is believing modern day Judaism is somehow the religion of the Israelites/Hebrews of the Bible. This is false. Modern day Judaism doesn’t follow the teachings of the Bible, rather the teachings of the Babylonian Talmud which is opposed to what the Bible teaches. You can look it up yourself, but the Babylonian Talmud and Judaism is full of things that you as a Christian should hate. Second, in this video clip you reference back to the Abrahamic Covenant in Genesis chapter 17. I’d like to challenge you on whether or not the modern-day Jews are Israel. Because if they are, they do not fit the promises given in Genesis chapter 17. As example of this, please look at verse 2 where it says: “that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly.” This is a promise of a large population of people, only compared to the stars of heaven (Genesis 22:17), sand of the sea (Hosea 1:10), or dust of the earth (Genesis 13:16). Ask yourself has the Jews ever had a population of people like this? The answer is no, they have only been very small in number and are very good at keeping records of those numbers. By your own admission you said, “look at Israel (State of Israel) it's a drop in the bucket when it comes to population of the world.” This should make you reexamine this statement. Another example of the promises given to Abraham and his offspring, please look at verse 5 where it says: “No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.” Ask yourself has the “Jews” of today ever been a multitude of nations? The answer is no. The modern-day people we call Jews have never been a multitude of nations. In verse 6 also says this multitude of nations would have a multitude of kings. The Jews have also not done this. These are only a few of many examples of how they do not fit the Biblical fingerprints (so to speak) of who true Israel is today. So, please take the time to look into all the promises of Israel and ask yourself who fits these identification marks today.
