Eddie is a pretty typical, tragic tale of someone being bullied to the breaking point Eddie never would've killed his main bully's dog(and possibly him too) if he simply had left Eddie alone His psycho talk about enjoying it could be viewed as Eddie always being a monster, but I view it more as Eddie being warped into one by his experience in Silent Hill

I don’t think it’s the killing of a dog that made him feel great, but instead the feeling of power and control shooting a gun gave him. When we first meet Eddie he seems shocked and maybe a little regretful about his actions, but he remembered that feeling of power and he got hooked on that feeling. His mind then warped from there as he realized he could solve all his problems with only a pistol and some bullets. I feel bad for him. It’s awful how some people just can’t find the light when they desperately need it and instead succumb to their inner darkness, to wrong those who have wronged them. It all could have been avoided if people were more compassionate and considerate of others.

Here's a clue, though what this clue is _for_ , I'll let you discover on your own: Think back to the opening cutscene of the game, when James was standing in front of the mirror looking at his hands. Notice that he looked at his hands the exact. same. way. after killing Eddie.

setting a timer every 30 mins to stop and resume the recording could be an option to save smaller files and not loose too much progress if one gets corrupted. it looses a little bit of immersion though

It's understandable to see things from the psychological point of view since you never played the other games and that element plays a big part, but you wouldn't be wrong to see things from the supernatural/occult point of view too.

Ive seen some people having issue with video encoding on the Elgato. Switching to software encoding in settings solved it for them..

Katie, you need better headphones. I could hear Eddie running around easily, could tell his direction just from his footsteps in the video. I think this fight was more about using sound to pin-point his location, not just the visuals. Would've made your life easier in many combats in this game. As a developer working on a horror game where sounds play a big role, I think a lot of gamers underestimate what a good headphone pair can do for the immersion and gameplay. Anyway, still loving this playthrough, you're one of the very few let's play KZbinr's I find entertaining.

The sound in this game is truly amazing. I played this game in my DolbyAtmos theater room. Hearing stuff behind and above me scared the hell out of me lol. Sounds are definitely key here. I was screaming at the screen as she was shooting the meat to see him, rather than using it for cover lol.

Could see Silent Hill 2 being my horror game of the year. My indie horror pick, despite not being as story driven as Mouthwash or Bad Parenting, would probably be Buckshot Roulette simply for being fun and different. Since I tend to wait for sales, I actually haven't played many brand new, AAA games this year, but the exceptions are Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, which I really like, Hades 2 early access and Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, which controversially would be my overall game of the year. Yeah, it's DLC, but it's massive and is what I played the most this year. Personally, I have no interest in Astrobot as I have no nostalgia for Playstation and I haven't got Black Myth Wukong yet. I'm actually finally getting into Lies of P, which I got in a recent sale.
