One of the cool things about this game is that changes are so subtle that you very rarely notice them happening, and more often than not find yourself looking around like "wait, has this always been like this?" 😄 Also, James clothes or at least his "toilet arm" must smell like absolute shit. Weird that Maria never comments on it. 😄

30:25, Being sick is sad and unfair, but it is still not an excuse for being verbally abusive and stuff. I know it sucks, but life isn't fair. My mother is struggling with a disease for more than 20 years but she still manages to have the strength to be good and happy and have a decent good time with my father. She still manages to have the strength to be good to the people around her and not be verbally abusive. Sometimes it takes a lot of strength to do that. That's why I don't like Mary that much. She was sick but instead of trying to spend the last days of her life making the last good memories with her husband and friends, she just lashes out at people.

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that angela dies after you meet her on the staircase. There has never EVER been a video game character that reduced me to tears as much as angela. The closet collapsing, leaving you no choice but to fight him. The fact that she probably died still thinking it was her fault with what happened to her family, she truly had nobody.

Is it just me or does this game have some of the most complicated ways to get various endings? Especially the ng+ ones? I wouldn't have seen any of all the alternatives without looking up how to do all these specific things.

I always thought that Gwen might be trans because her voice sounds a bit like a man's, she's actually pretty and has a charismatic personality.

Max's new powers are honestly so cool but they shouldn't have made her loose her rewind powers though even if they didn't want to make her rewind powers a main part of the game.

The interesting thing about James, as you have probably guessed, is how divisive he is as a character. Some hate him, some love him. For me I kind of get where he is coming from while I acknowledge that what he did was wrong and messed up. But that last monologue from Mary, he did not hear the end. I think the implication is that he left before he heard her say "I don't want to die". So the last words he heard from Mary were that she wished that she could die, and to get away from her. And James on some level probably thought he was doing what she wanted, but on the other, as he admits, he hated her for taking his life away from him. It's not an okay thing to say, but it is true: Someone who is terminally ill is ultimately a burden both emotionally and physically on the person taking care of them. And Mary seemed to start to hate James for this because his presence just made her feel more like a drag on his life, which makes his killing of her even more tragic. I think people who say "Just get a divorce" are missing this aspect. In my opinion, James still loved Mary on some level and could not "abandon" her, but he was also stuck in limbo, wanting his life back. There's also the whole aspect of sexual repression. Obviously once Mary was sick, she could not satisfy his physical desires. So that's why Silent Hill creates Maria, a creature who represents everything James wishes Mary was, she's flirty, she's carefree, and most importantly she is disease-free. That's also why the nurses are dressed the way they are. It's all subtext and never explicitly stated, but James probably stared at some of the nurses at the hospital while he was visiting Mary and still holds onto the guilt from that.

Also how Angela was avoiding james and does not want him near her and she suspected that he was following her around, and when he asked her in the park if she wants him to go with her she was careful and very much concerned about him insisting on going with her... it all make sense now she just hates men or lets say doesn't trust any man
