**Simple** 1. The joint between the turret and the chassis is a structural weak point on any tank. 2. Russian tanks employ autoloaders to automatically chamber each round. The advantage of this approach is a 3 man crew instead of a 4 man crew, but the disadvantage is the ammunition is stored adjacent to the crew, rather than isolating it within its own reinforced compartment. When you put 1 + 2 together, you get a chain reaction of combustion. When a Russian tank is struck around the turret, the initial explosive charge is prone to set off the ammunition in the autoloader. The result is a flying turret and a vaporised crew.

What worries me a little is that two good tanks are often more capable in combat than a single great tank. But then again, the 21 century wars are not about tanks fighting tanks. It's more like drones against everything else!

My father never won a tank design contract. He did win mobile artillery [bigger] and armoured personnel carrier [smaller] contracts. He said the US is hamstrung by requirement to armour around large soldiers, while the Soviets designed for 5' 7" max height. One big USA general yelled in my father's face, "BIG MEN ARE BETTER!"

The carrier strike groups have about 4 destroyers. On top of this as a command ship they have a missile cruiser with 122 cells. They wouldn’t have just one destroyer launch interceptors at the Topol M. There would be several destroyers firing missiles. One topol isn’t enough to get through.

Although this difference in mentality was observed in the planes of the II. during World War II among American fighter planes and Japanese planes. Let's say between a Mustang and a Zero. In the American plane, they tried to armor the pilot's cabin and protect the fuel tank by placing it in a special rubber cover, which reduced the chance of exploding in the event of a hit. The Japanese didn't have anything like that. If the Japanese plane was hit, the pilot sacrificed himself for the Emperor and the Japanese in a fireball. The Japanese did not value the life of the soldier, as the Russians do. Ukrainian soldiers also love Western devices because they have a much better chance of surviving than in an Eastern device.

Something you are forgetting is the Russian tanks have speedier auto-loader so that is why they have that design. The Russian army is not running low on tanks in fact the war has made the Russians approach on how to use tanks and what to put on them much better: Such as the drone jammers or the fact that tanks do not Spear-head attacks any more but rathe the support the infantry.

A huge major issue with Russian war logic is, it works with smaller nations, throwing numbers after numbers till the enemy is worn out, but that does not work against a huge coalition like NATO, let alone the US. The US alone has a population far greater than any Russian population at any time. not only does the USA have more men and women for fighting, The USA has more workers and more factories and superior manufacturing methods to make military weapons and vehicles and the USA has better enviroments to make food and other supplies for soldiers. So Russia is outnumbered and outclassed. we saw in the Gulf war how americans Abrams did much better than Russian t72s and t80s.
