I am a former gym owner for over 43 years before retirement and in fact still have a better equipped home gym with over 60 pieces of commercial exercise equipment. My favorite "machine" in my entire gym today is my x3 bar, footplate, and my five bands (white thru elite)...and I no longer anguish over the perfect routine...I just follow the prescribed A B workout pattern of four exercises one set each per day. perfect and it takes 10-15 minutes!

I am a 63 year old disabled retired Marine (Thanks for the discount! Both my son and I appreciate that). After seeing your product, reading your website and watching to your videos, I understood why weightlifting was hurting my joints. But I wanted to stay in shape, so other than trying to be careful, what choice did I have? Then I saw your product, and BAM! 6 months, 220 lbs to 200 lbs, 27% body fat to 20% body fat, and the constant pain in my arthritic knee is rarely felt. People are often commenting on how good I am looking. Some days I push so hard, when I am done with a set, I have to fall over on the floor because I am temporarily too weak to stand. But when I do, I fall over laughing, because it is such a joy to finally be able to push myself again like that. Thanks guys, I almost feel ready to go back in the Marines.

This video sold me. You did exactly what you, as a business owner, is supposed to do - address negative reviews head-on. I've seen all those gym-owner negative reviews and thought precisely that of course they'd try to steer people away from this product. This guy didn't even own the X3 Bar to even do an honest review. Tells me he's really struggling, understandable during these times. I hope he recovers. But c'mon, at least give an honest review. THUMBS UP!

I really like X3! I'm a career firefighter, and I'm able to get a quick 10-15 minute workout in before work, an i never feel completely drained for the day...maybe I'm doing in wrong, lol! Im 45 years old, and when i would workout with weights, i always had lots of pain in my elbows and shoulders. Now i don't have continuous pain, and i hardly ever feel very sore in my muscles. I'm still building and maintaining muscle, for less workout time, and pain. Thanks to my brother for turning me on to your product. Thanks Sir!

I am 66 years old and in THE best shape of my life due to Dr. Jaquish's X3 Bar and dietary advice. I work out with the X3 Bar every day, Monday through Saturday, and I love it. My son, who is a certified personal trainer, visited recently, and he was very impressed with the X3 Bar. And yes, I quit my Gold's Gym membership.

I got mine. On week 3 now. So far I'm down 8 pounds just by following the information provided on the nutrition guidelines. I'm still getting used to the idea that this is taking me 15 minutes or less. I've been to so many gyms near were I live, what a waste of time, driving and dealing with parking. I no longer have a gym membership. Don't have to worry about rude employees at the gym, and also don't have to worry about rude people in general at a gym. I don't miss my gym membership. I'm seeing results already and I like this product. Again this all depends if you follow up and through the advice given. I had to go back several times and watch the videos, take notes then I headed straight into my refrigerator and pantry and threw away what is not good for me. Then I just went also to the grocery store and picked up the right foods. Thank you so much.

Spent a lot of time in the gym over the years. 4 Years ago I ripped my bicep on the flat bench. Quit lifting heavy. This time last year, I had surgery to repair my bicep. I have been rehabbing all year and just ordered the X3 system. Years of working out kept me at 235lbs. Now at 250lbs. After reading your book, I am excited to start your system.

I have one of the first Gen X3 systems. I debated purchasing it with John. I have been a free weight guy my whole life and the results I got with X3 were by far the best results in the shortest amount of time. My wife was doing hit and Pyo training for a year and decided to do X3 with me. Her results in just 6 weeks far exceeded any gains she experienced with her previous workouts. The only supplementation we do is Fortagen. At 55 years old we are in the best shape of our lives and my wife weighs the same as she did in her 20's!!!!!

I'm a personal trainer and I can't buy an X3 bar right now because of the pandemic and everything else so I went out a bought a knock off and followed X3 routine and the results ere incredible. I will say the knock off doesn't have the same quality that the X3 bar looks like it has, but I saw results. I had a high school friend who hasn't seen me in a year tell me how much more muscular and cut up than the last time they've seen me. After all this craziness is over I'm going to buy an X3 bar. The bar and bands look like much better quality than what I have. If I've seen results with the knock I can't wait to see the results once I purchase the real deal.

I bought it use it and really like it. Especially being an oilfield worker where I only have about 20 minutes a day to get a workout done. I tore my Achilles tendon and the calf exercise in particular has been very effective for it. I still use an airbike and leg curl machine for sport specific training. Only thing I don't like about X3 is it basically turns me into a salesman every time I show it to somebody.

This is the difficulty I found. I want the Science which is well presented. I love the principles and was fascinated with the technicality and method of discovery. No one who I have seen a negative review of understands the system. I don't know if I fully do but I try. The quality is bar none. I did research into X3 and bought it. But social media is not the way to learn Science or establish peers. For my X3 experience, I will read and watch these videos. The results speak for themselves. Thank you for all your work.

Just received my order! Looking forward to seeing my results on this program, compared to my years of weight lifting experience! My one thought is that the footplate might benefit from having rollers placed at the edges to aid in making the left/right loading even, and would improve the distribution of the stresses on the band, which might have a significant benefit for the longevity of the bands. Apologies for the excessive use of exclamation marks, but I am very excited about the potential I see in this product.

I have finally started doing the 12 week program properly. I just finished Week 1, Day 4 (Push Day). I'll report back in periodically. I'm still getting used to the different motion of the new tricep press. The overhead press really kicks my ass, but I'm doing everything to failure. I'm mostly just on the second band for everything right now, although I tried Band 3 for chest press and tricep press today and did alright. Over 15 reps to failure on both. Happy 4th of July all. It's hard to call it Independence Day at a time when our individual liberties are being decimated in the name of "safety" for something with a very low death rate and purposefully underreported recovery rate. God forbid we let people take care of themselves.

I have just completed Week 4. I'm definitely stronger than I was 4 weeks ago. I've burned some fat. I haven't been weighing myself. I was one of those born with good calves, but they're noticably more defined already. Next week, I ramp it up to 6 days a week, alternating between Push Days and Pull Days. I'll also be adding Pec Crossovers to my Push Day and replacing Front Squats with Split Squats. I'll report back in a few more weeks. Also, what do we do after Week 12? Do we start over or rest a couple days, or keep going like week 12 as part of a new daily routine?
@evanprice7967
@evanprice7967 4 жыл бұрын
Week 6 done. I'm still on the second level strap (light gray, maybe one inch width?) for most exercises. Today was Pull Day. I tried the 3rd level strap for all 4 exercises. I think I've graduated to level 3 for Dead Lifts. Not quite there yet for bent rows (did about 15-20, but I couldn't get the bar all the way back like I do on level 2). I can kinda do calf raises, but it is pretty tight on the shoulders and arms. If I were only working the calves, I could handle the level 4 and probably even the orange elite. I'm one of those people born with good calves, although they are even better now. And finally, I'm definitely not ready for band level three bicep curls. I was able to do more than expected...two...and a half. Pretty good considering I expected to be able to do zero. I dropped on back to level two and did 25 or so, but was still tired from the two heavy ones. Going from four days a week to six was a little rough that first week, but I'm thoroughly enjoying this journey. I'm seeing real gains and only halfway through the first twleve weeks. I still don't know what we do after Week 12. I figure we just keep going. I may once in a while drop back to four days for one week just for some possible extra recovery. Like once a quarter.

My big issue with it is it's so expensive. Most of the negative reviews I've seen speak on price and what you can get with similar albeit clearly lesser quality bands. As for me, the cost is currently not in my budget so I made a rigged system out of 2x4's and lesser quality bands. However, I do eventually intend to budget this system because itll make working out on deployments much easier
@JaquishBiomedical

The X3 is designed to deliver forces that are far beyond what people would normally handle in a gym environment. This means the bar, plate, and banding have to be able to provide and withstand far more force capacity than standard gym equipment is made for. This is absolutely required because now that you are using variable resistance, you can handle far more (7X) weight than you thought, and hence you trigger more growth. For this reason, the effect that is triggered in the body is also much more powerful than anything you can get out of weights which is why, when you look at the before/after photos and testimonials, you see experienced lifters who have gained 20lbs of muscle in 6 months of starting X3.. You are buying a very high quality made in the USA product and a scientifically superior approach to exercise. Ask yourself this: What is 20lbs of muscle worth?

Also my mom, brother and stepdad are all different blood types and all their health problems are gone too. It took about a year with healing the gut, taking supplements according to our blood type and working out according to our blood type and eating according to our blood type.

Ive been a competitive bodybuilder, health professional and have been training with weights for 34 yrs and i can honestly say that the x3 has been a great addition to my fitness. This is faaaarrr easier on the joints than barbells and dumbell as well so great for rehab. I'd have to say negative reviews are related to ridiculous claim of building muscle 3x faster. We dont see any competitive bodybuilders using only this equipment and we likely never will as it isnt the best for building chest and quads and there is a lot to be gained in the eccentric phase for muscle growth as well. X3 is one of the best ways to create deep metabolic fatigue and as an addition to many other programs its great but as a complete replacement for a power athlete I dont see this as being enough.

He's 100%. Imo 550 is a small price to pay for such a great piece of equipment. If you're really on top of your diet and where your money goes on a daily basis you'd be surprised how many more "useful" QUALITY things you can buy. It's a one-time purchase & things like that do not apply to being a "waste of money" Take a blender for example. I'd rather have my $600 Vitamix than some "Ninja" that will burn out within a few years. I choose quality 1-time purchase products over cheaper ones ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.
@glow4417
@glow4417 3 жыл бұрын
I agree with what you are saying, but if a 30$ Ninja lasts you five years, it was still worth it. It would take you along time to earn your money back on that particular purchase. With that said, a lot of products don't perform well at a lower price, along with not lasting very long at all. A better example is an exercise bike. A person can easily spend 200$ on an exercise bike, and it might only last them a few months. Better to spend the 1000$ and buy something that will last 10 plus years, and perform much better - with better tech equipped.

As an X-3 user for over 5 months, I have already cancelled my and my wife's gym memberships. X-3 pays for itself in commute time, gym dues and maybe gas, not to mention waiting for a piece of equipment. So if, time = money, that's done. The space and time it take to workout is fascinating, do it first thing in the morning, feel great all day. Push 3 days, I wear a t-shirt, underwear, bare feet. Pull 3 days, I wear underwear bare feet. Done and done, 6 days a week. Road trips are a no brainer, we're taking it with. Have not flow with it yet, I believe it has to be checked in as luggage as opposed to carry -on luggage. The app that comes with your purchase helps keep track of your progress, so you can always remember your numbers. Videos are available to show you proper techniques, of how to properly use the equipment and proper movements. DON"T BE SMARTER than the program, keep on making adjustments toward the proper mechanics as needed. Remember you are on a journey, it's not a destination. I've been lifting weights and doing manual labor for over fifty years, it only took me a few weeks to agree with Dr. J that weight lifting is a waste of time.

I just learned about the X3 today and considering a purchase. I've been looking at reviews, good and bad. What I see so far is that people are having a great experience with the X3 and that it works, but there are a couple of quality issues or very simple oversights. The bands seem to be getting scuffed or damaged by the edge of the plate, which is apparently somewhat rough. One review said the quality of customer service was really great and that the band and the plate were replaced without questions. That is good to hear. However, that was a youtuber providing a review. I would wonder whether the average schmoe such as myself would get the same service if the same thing happens. The bigger question I have is, is anything being done about the edge of the plate causing damage to the bands, and what can be done by the user to mitigate the issue? I see some good, creative responses on how to potentially fix the issue but I'd like to hear what the makers of the device have to say about it. Although the device may replace a gym and potentially save someone a lot of money in various ways, 500 dollars is still 500 dollars. Once I know this issue can be mitigated somehow I'll probably pick one up.

I have a few questions. So each day is just a few exercises of one set to failure i.e. one set of deadlift, one set of curls etc...? What do I do if I complete a workout using bands that were too heavy go lighter the next time? Is it less about the tension on the bands and more about going to failure and continuing to fail as your range of motion deminishes?

Get this bar. I was incredibly skeptical of the X3 Bar, but I thought the bar itself looked pretty solid (it is...great for home defense, if you connect, lmao), so I joined an FB group, watched a lot of user vids, read a lot, looked at a couple of similar products (there's something that looks like a bow and arrow or something for a lot less money, but also a lot less resistance and way less customer satisfaction from my research), I asked questions, etc. I finally bit the bullet. I told myself I was crazy to play over $500 for a bar, some big rubber bands, and a little platform to stand on, but when it arrived, I saw the quality of the materials. I tried the Day 1 exercises and felt pretty good, pretty tired. I was like man that was great for such a quick workout. You're really supposed to stick to the program, but I was excited with my new toy, so I went ahead and did the Day Two exercises as well. I have yet to follow the plan. I only do the exercises in the program, but I haven't stuck to the 12 week workout schedule at all yet (I will, I've just been undisciplined). Even with doing it relatively sparingly, I have noticed gains, and so have family and friends. Imagine how it'll go when I quit messing around and actually do the 12 weeks. The Doc doesn't know me. He did reply to a few of my posts a while back when I was still active on FB. I'm not paid. I didn't receive the bar free or anything (ha, I wish). I just like the bar. Every person I've seen that I know who actually used the bar likes it. Most seem to love it. Look for regular people posting videos and pictures of themselves with the bar if you're researching reviews. There's a whole "fake review" industry now, literally. Companies exist (in countries like India) who you can pay to leave X amount of negative reviews for a competitor's product and positive reviews for your product. As of now, it's pretty obvious which are the fake reviews. They're usually in broken or unnatural English and usually fairly generic. You can especially see this on Amazon with newly launched 3rd party products (e.g. cheap electronics).

I am very much interested in this product. I'm a woman who just wants more muscle definition. I am noticably fit but I want that more defined, cut look. I did my research and this looks like the answer, especially for upper body gains. I am however concerned about how I can isolate or activate the glutes. Deadlifts and squats are a compound workout that do activate the glutes, but in order to grow glutes, you have to do isolation workouts. Is it possible to do hip thrusts and donkey kicks with these bands?

I like the way the product is looking overall, but what about the reports of the bands tearing. Has this issue been addressed yet? I think I’ll buy it, but I’m concerned about the quality of the bands or whatever is causing them the chaff or wear out prematurely.
@JaquishBiomedical
@JaquishBiomedical 4 жыл бұрын
All the reports we are aware of are just normal cosmetic wear. This is nothing to worry about and is a sort of normal wear that occurs on this material. We are not aware of a manufacturing process that can prevent it. This does not weaken the band, and you’ll actually never need to worry about these bands snapping. These bands are made through a layering process (15 total layers) and that actually adds durability and strength to the band. The individual layers help keep the band from snapping/breaking unlike other cheaper bands that are one solid piece of latex.

I live at high altitude so am wondering how to keep the bands pliable and long lasting. All else aside, I'm excited to see how this all goes. It does feel strange to not spend an hour working out only a few body parts and I'm looking forward to this being true to the science. It's up to me to follow the program and see where we are in 12 weeks. The video support is really helpful, so thanks for that. I look forward to sharing great results and so far, has been impressive.

John you talk about muscles recruiting the most fibres in the strongest range of motion... Wouldn't that mean doing only partials with standard barbells be the best way to use them?
@JaquishBiomedical

You're 7X stronger in the strong range than in the weak range. So, if you wanted to lift super heavy and just do tiny reps in the strongest range, you most likely wouldn't be able to lift the weights up through your weakest range to get to that point. Essentially the weak range is the limiting factor here, so if you can lift it through your weak range to get to the strong range, even if you're only doing reps in the strong range, you're not providing much stimulus to the muscle there. Here are 10 different studies that show how variable resistance (VR) is superior to weight training with regular weight, with pro athletes or regular people. The factor that makes the difference in each of these studies is the addition of VARIANCE in resistance. X3 provides the strongest level of variance ever seen in a fitness product hence more growth over other programs: (Ghigiarelli, et al, 2009): 7-week heavy elastic band upper-body power in a sample of D1 football players. (Joy, et al, 2016): Performance is increased when variable resistance is added to a standard strength program with University basketball players. (Rivière, et al, 2017): VR training promotes greater strength and power adaptations than traditional resistance training with elite youth rugby players. (Anderson, et al, 2008): Nearly three times greater for average power in some movements was observed comparing control group to test group for VR versus standard weight training, RTC with University athletes. (McCurdy, et al, 2009): VR banded bench press produce similar short-term strength improvement conventional free weight bench press while minimizing shoulder stress with D2 baseball players. (Goodwin, et al, 2018): Pushing power increased over standard weight protocols using VR exercise with pro rugby players. (Cronin, et al, 2003): 10 weeks analysis showed VR resulted in a 21.5% performance increase compared with control group, both groups trained athletes. (Anderson, et al, 2016) & (Anderson, et al, 2019): Groups of elite athletes using differing degrees of VR showed that the higher the VR level, the greater muscular engagement. (Komiyama, et al, 2016): VR shows better strength over standard training with older adults.

@@JaquishBiomedical I see, thanks for the response. Arthur Jones spoke about this a lot, why he thought barbells was not the best way to train. Your X3 is a portable nautilus machine it seems, but with way more exercises to choose from and takes up no space. Maybe doing floor press instead of bench press would overload the strongest position better without risk of injury from the weak bottom position. You could also do rack pulls instead of deadlifts.
