Why was Gravekeeper Assailant able to trade with Dark Magician Girl @ 29:40? Shouldn't it be 2000 Atk vs. 2300 Atk, due to the effect of Girl or is Necrovalley also negating Girls effect, because it mentions Graveyard? Great video JDZ keep up the cool content especially with Alephya! :)

GK 1st of all needs to play at least 2 spell shield type 8 ,to avoid the NOC on your spy... If your spy is NOCed,then the GK player automatically loses🤔 it also plays 3 guards...

Gk needs to be played as heavy aggro. Solemns, my body, book of moon. Even something like spell shield type 8. Not too terrible to run 3/2 valley/terra if you can toss dead ones. Kycoo is a must too, as is a solid warrior package

Well i do play most of cards that you mentioned x2 spell shield type 8, x2 solemn, 1 my body, only 1 terraforming, x2 is too much, and it's dead card sometimes, than i play tsukuyomi at least x2, because it have good sinergy with spy and some other flip gk's that i play, i play x2 royal tribute, and in first hand if i am going even second, if op don't play duo hes gone, because 70% of duels i had drawn necrovalley + royal tribute, and than op almost whole hand go to grave, which is great for me, especially if i have some rite of spirit and thrown some spear soldiers and assailants to grave and next turn bom

@@miloscarapic4502 Tsuk is great too, yes. One thing I don't like is NoC. If you hit their Spy you're in trouble. I like MS lvl2 x2 as a substitute

@@Markb23236 I play mostly pure gravekeeper's, with less influence from other decks, i know i should try to mix it with something, warriors for example but since i don't play much with them, there is no need to mix up something, since i already have magical warrior's, and play with them more, but mystic swordsman lv2 ain't bad but not my type of card, i even don't run it in warriors, because it's earth and can't help much, and there always are better options like Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke, or bigger beater like goblins or zombrya how people call card today xD

My take is that most of the time Necro doesn't floodgate effectively because your opponent eventually draws S/T removal and then plays all the graveyard centric cards they drew in one explosive turn. With Kycoo you get to banish their graveyard so they aren't ready to play everything after they remove it. You also have a lot of bricky topdecks in matchups that constantly make 1-1 trades.

If Gravekeeper Spy wasn't ran in almost every deck, then this deck would be better. It's unfortunate that Necrovalley boosts atk/def of all Gravekeepers on field. Trying to overcome 2 def position 2500def spys on your opponents side of the field seems annoying

great video as usual if i have a gk assailant at 2k atk (necrovalley on field) can i tribute him fordeck devastation virus? if oppo summons gk spy when necrovalley is on the field, can i bottomless trap hole the spy? ( in that case, i can destroy everithing they summon with spy cause of bottomless?)

These are great questions! 1. Yes if you have the boost of necrovalley you can tribute for the cost of deck dev. 2. Yes you can use bottomless on spy in that case because it will be at the new attack on summon I hope this helps

I will say, Gravekeeper’s Chief in a GK deck pairs better with Brain Control than probably any other tribute monster in the game in terms of guaranteed advantage. The main competition would be the monarchs, but (1) Zaborg with Brain often sucks because if your opponent has only one monster, Zaborg is dead (2) Mobius with Brain can be good but so many traps are chainable nowadays that going plus is unreliable (3) Thestalos with Brain on paper would be best but turbo has so many easy hand discards available that nullifies his advantage (4) Granmarg can be highly situational. But Chief’s effect on summon doesn’t suffer from any of the above problems. It doesn’t care at all about the opponent’s cards, his plus is entirely satisfied by you having a GK monster in the grave. So if you Brain Control + summon him, it’s pretty much a guaranteed plus one without any catches or restrictions. I can’t think of any other tribute monster in the format that plus’es better with Brain Con.

@@GoatFormat Here's the text version of the deck. I'd be interested in trying Chief, with possibly removing one of the return of the army. The warrior package can each remove an opposing monster. I settled on only 2 assailant due to it being a vanilla without necrovalley. Spear Soldier has piercing without needing necrovalley so I included 3. 2 moon and 2 tsukuyomi both for flipping opponent monsters but also your own. Lots of utility. Body as a Shield is great since GK is a very aggressive deck and getting to play without needing to care about torrential or mirror force is very nice. Main Deck: D.D. It’s unsearchable, and required Necrovalley. It’s game ending when it works and only hurts you when it doesn’t. It’s a bad top deck when you’re down or don’t have the valley. I love it tho
