@@Mahlak_Mriuani_Anatman How? what does god have to do with injustice? You think god would make a world where everything is fair and right? All sunshine and rainbows? Then what would be the point? Everyone has free will to do what is right and wrong... stop blaming people's actions on god and start taking accountability. In islam we are taught that true justice will be served on the Day of Judgment when it's all said and done and no ones money or power can "veto" god's decisions. Until then, strive to be a good person and choose to do the right thing for yourself and others.

Interesting timing. A little over 13 years ago, an Australian publisher published evidence of US war crimes. The evidence was in the form of voice recordings and helicopter gunship footage from a camera mounted on an autocannon. It showed the helicopter killing a journalist and some bystanders who were looking at the photo he'd just taken with a long telephoto lens, and then shooting the civilian who tried to help the wounded, as well as the children in the vehicle that good Samaritan arrived in. That publisher has just ended 12 years under arrest, without trial. Much of the time was served in an embassy of a neutral country to avoid being shipped off to some US black site. That publisher was freed two days ago. The helicopter crew was never charged.

Dictators, fascists, any authoritarian are usually psychopaths. Those with the most power fear consequences of any kind that threaten their power or wealth. When a nation's leaders works tirelessly to build walls around the masses and keep them ignorant and divided over the state of the world outside as well as their actions, you know it's a nation that doesn't have the masses' best interests at heart and doesn't care.

Zionists colonized Palestine and have been committing genocide for around 80 years now. Recently the open air concentration camp known as Gaza had a break out attempt which was planned over the course of months and known by the Israelis yet they choose to have their music festival, delayed it in fact to make sure it happens ON the same day of the break out and then proceeded to kill their own citizenry to up the body count which we have lots of evidence of. They also had a massive disinformation campaign where they claimed all sorts of bullshit about Hamas doing things that they didn't do during this breakout attempt. Civilians were killed for sure but it was 100% the fault of Israel and not Hamas for the way it went down as Hamas had only planned on attacking the Israeli occupation forces and tear down the concrete barriers. They are heavily defended by useful idiots and hardcore Zionists who will do anything in their power to excuse the crimes committed by their nation out of ignorance or malice. They are defended again by the USA and by the ineffectual UN whom see justice as only relevant when it is against a western enemy showcasing to the world the hypocrisy of the "rule base order" they claim to represent. IF i was being accused of a crime I didn't commit and no one was willing to defend me, I don't know what I would do but that is not what is happening instead it would be me denying I did any crime while I'm actively killing a guy, everyone wanting me tried for it but the mafia comes along and forces the judge to stop the trial and I walk away to commit the same crime over and over while a bunch of morons say I'm a chad for doing it.

I've come to a realization: in the realm of Western nations, particularly Europe and Israel and the USA, there exists a perplexing pattern. These countries, while bearing the weight of their own transgressions, often take it upon themselves to investigate the very crimes they have committed. It's a truly remarkable situation, one that leaves me astounded. Perhaps it's high time for a transformative shift, a bold decree stipulating that nations with a history of criminal activities ought not to be entrusted with the task of investigating their own wrongdoings. Such a measure would introduce a new era of accountability and impartiality, ensuring that justice reigns supreme while dismantling the cloak of self-protection that has shrouded the truth for far too long.

Not exactly what you're proposing, but every socialist experience went through some form of transitional justice which investigated, judged and sentenced all major collaborators of the former oppressive regimes. More than just international accountability, we need a justice system that answers to the people, to the oppressed classes, not to the elites. If we were to rely on the elites of each country judging each other, we would have nothing different from what we already have. There are no alternatives, no workarounds for the revolution. The other countries aren't going to save us, and the elites won't have a change of heart and accept losing their power. We need to save ourselves.

all laws are fundamentally based on a threat of violence that's the only way they work. Liberalism has this idea that laws are somehow derived from mutual consent, this is a fundamentally wrong idea, and it makes people think that you can make a system of international laws which military superpowers are as accountable to as anyone else. when in reality there is no way to hold accountable any organization which has more military force than you do, and the most frustrating thing is that so many people will keep believing in the idea of international law no matter how obvious it becomes that it does not work.

Britain for example without its seat in security council is just a small Island neighbouring Europe , France will lost much of its privilege ?! @@usersar2213 No, dude, just no. Laws aren't threats of violence, they are warnings. Punishments will only follow (maybe) if you ignore them for any reason, if courts didn't exist then you'd be right but in reality you can break a law and receive no punishment at all depending on the court, crime, country and time period you are tried in, rendering the "Threat" pointless, proof of the fact that it isn't a threat even if it was meant as such. Now this is actually only true for the last 80 or so years, because we switched to a system that doesn't want to punish but to re-educate criminals, before then, yes. Maybe some systems of law were threats of violence but it wildly varies. Laws, threats of violence or even repeated violence to criminals don't work as deterrents, the ICC is just the latest and most scandalous example of this. Back when you would see death as punishment for pettier crimes, crimes did not stop. At all. Even if you were entirely and not conditionally correct, the failure of laws to stand by their real purpose, making sure a crime isn't repeated, is laughable. Violence is not just beating someone? You stated something and skipped the part where you prove and define it. That part of your argument is automatically moot. Taking your property may be done through violence but taking it is not violence. I'm gonna need an argument for why taking your shit or forcibly reallocating your time should be considered violence.

Capitalism is based upon holding private property over means of production, and who gives legitimacy and protects such property? the state. Now who funds the campaigns, influence politicians interests and build think tanks to breed new waves of politicians to reverb their interests? capitalists. We are led to believe that state and capital are at odds with eachother, what we have now, as a less discriminatory and fascist governments compared to the 19th and 20th are a result of 200 years of resistance from the masses. The perception that international law doesn't apply equally to the West is rooted in historical and contemporary power imbalances that have shaped global governance. While international law theoretically applies to all states equally, in practice, the influence of powerful Western nations often undermines its impartiality. Western countries have historically played a central role in shaping international legal norms, treaties, and institutions, giving them significant leverage to interpret and enforce the law in ways that align with their interests. This dynamic has led to criticisms that international law is selectively applied, especially when Western powers are involved in conflicts or human rights abuses. The principle of accountability under international law should apply universally, regardless of a country's political or economic status. However, in many cases, Western nations benefit from political and legal systems that allow them to avoid facing the full consequences of their actions, whether it's in relation to military interventions, environmental degradation, or violations of human rights. The Security Council, with its permanent members holding veto power, is one of the most glaring examples of how power can distort the application of international law. For international law to regain credibility and ensure true global justice, it must be reformed to eliminate such inequalities. This includes strengthening international institutions, holding all states accountable regardless of their geopolitical influence, and ensuring that laws are enforced fairly and consistently. Only then can international law fulfill its promise of a just and orderly global society.

By definition, a republic is not a democracy. Votes do not and have never mattered to a republic, and every "democracy" on the planet is a republic. The only thing that defines a republic is that officials represent groups of people in the eyes of the government. That's all. If there are representatives, it's a republic.

"Israel" idea and its occupation began with the Balfour Declaration by the British government in 1917, while World War I was ongoing, right after the Ottoman Empire lost Palestinian lands, but initially, there was little real attention paid to it. Following World War II, the concept of promised lands began to gain momentum.

Even before watching, and I don’t want to sound like Nietzsche here: Laws are in the end only constructs that at best represent accepted tabus within a specific culture. That already makes the whole concept relative. So far so good. Then add the fact that these laws are in practice always finely tuned to give the ruling elite maximum leeway. Thirdly: Unethical behaviour is normally only punished if the perpetrator is stupid and arrogant enough to get caught. In other words: Lying is rewarded. Fourth: If you are rich enough you can even then ride out the wave you created by appealing again and again for decades. So what happens if an elite with such ethics and a lack of accountability moves outside of a national / cultural framework? As far as the actual content of your video goes: 👍

Basic morals(no killing/stealing and the like) aren't relative though. They are dictated by our biological nature and social animal collective survival drive, which is about as objective as it gets for us. Therefore: there's no "grey" area in this type (sufficiently basic) of matters. It's black and white, and the way politics are conducted nowadays is firmly black.
@marcbrasse747
@marcbrasse747 4 ай бұрын
@@AthenaTennosN True in principle but politics exist because the grey area’s we all create ourselves. If we would really have these principles engraved so deeply we would be less opportunistic. Even the fact that we are ruled by minorities is our own fault. So it starts with dubious behaviour at home in our street, city etc. Looking away when injustice is taking place is already enough. I’ve made it a point to never lie. If I say so most others do already react as if they do not believe me. Still even the smallest lie is an opportunist tactic.

that's literally how the legal system works? if a law is unjust (breaking whatever supreme law its based on, in most western countries that would be their constitution) then you object the law and hope the judges rule in your favor. That's how laws and rulings get overturned

@linkplays2952 - The usual mode of objection though is through campaigning and protest. Civil disobedience is sometimes employed (this is breaking the law, but it's usually a large group doing it, not an individual). Rarely, full on revolution. But breaking the law isn't how you, an individual, usually object to it with a hope of getting it changed - you just get laughed all the way to jail, unless it makes headlines and some lawmakers go hmm (that would be akin to campaigning)
@linkplays2952
@linkplays2952 2 ай бұрын
@uplink-on-yt you don't "object"to it. You just appeal the result and hope the top court takes your case and agrees with you (that happened in many cases on free speech here in the States). Though yes being in the news helps you with getting your case accepted

It's interesting to see this in the context of the League of Nations and its demise. The League was fatally wounded by ... the US Senate. US behaving as an outsider, a huge outsider, made the whole system weak from the beginning. Small countries saw it as just another great power structure. In the early years, they actually moved against that viewpoint, and there were some significant success. Eventually, though, the great powers grew impatient, and when a French fascist ended up in charge, the League lost all semblance of relevance. It feels like the UN has gone through a similar lifecycle. The US was part of it, but from the very beginning, the security council vetoes made the UN a tool of the great powers.

And the answer is because the international system/order is anarchic, meaning there is/are no over arching authority/ies to enforce laws aka treaties.
