Took apart my traeger… followed these instructions Boom it worked. Simple as a loose cable or blown fuse sometimes.

After reading some of the comments, I thought I needed to write something positive about Traeger's commitment to insuring you can get your BBQ/Smoker back up and running. The Traeger team posts these videos for us novices that don't know what's wrong . . . and they are terrifically produced. thanks Traeger for giving us a tool to figure out what we need to do and for being there to help us!!!

My Traeger Lil' Tex Elite would make a "humming" noise when plugged in but not turned to smoke. It would work fine otherwise. To prevent the noise, I would immediately unplug it after use. I forgot to do this last weekend and when I went to unplug it the noise had stopped and the grill would not power up any more, no digital display, nothing. I removed the controller to check the fuse, (it was the cylindrical version), but couldn't budge the fuse out of the holder. I finally used a pair of players to grab the fuse but it was so tight that the entire tube pulled away from the circuit board. I'm now awaiting delivery of another controller. Hopefully it will fix the problem.

Question, my Treager won't stop feeding pellet continuously. Any ideas? Controller bad?

We have a new Ironwood 650. Display would not light up. After using multi-meter, it was the master switch. The power from your outlet (USA) is 120v AC but the transformer changes it to 20v DC. Drove me nuts for two weeks….you would think it’s the display (no fuse on the ironwood series) but it was the master switch.

Hmmm, I have the pro-780 wi-fire and my display won't light up either. It's getting power, but display screen is dead

Just had this problem. Turned grill on and the light would flicker then turn off... Discovered it was operator error. Can’t turn it on in shut down mode. Oops.

I have the Costco Silverton TFS62G that is t powering up. I pulled the digital display unit (PCB) and there’s no fuse?

The problem with this video is they don't show how to get the control panel out. He just has one in his hand. It is hard to get out and I'm not sure I will be able to get it back in. This is a frustrating experience for someone who doesn't know how to fix things very well. For a grill it seems to be a lot of work.

It’s a hassle. After you remove the screws and it is loose. You need to slide the panel to the left. Then while holding it there you should be able to get the right side to come out. Then just slide it back to the right as you are pulling it out.

I just bought a used one and it won’t turn on. It’s getting 120 to the board I tested with my meter but nothing turns on ?

On my Traeger, the control panel will not fit through the opening. I will have to disconnec t the entire hopper from the grill to access the electrical components.

alex Tong I replaced the controller and that fixed my problem. If it doesn't turn on, I think it just means the controller died.

@@mas247 new controller lasted 20 minutes and took a shit no blown fuse. Testing the pc board shows faulty components as in plural. Cheap bastards!

I am having this issue. Bought the grill last week, assembled it Sunday, cooked some ribs just fine. Yesterday, went to start it up, and nothing. Power to outlet is fine, and fuse was ok. Switched it for the replacement anyway. Just got off phone with their service, they said it is probably the power cord and will send me a new cord. I think it is the controller unit myself, but the rep said power cord is what it usually is for my symptoms. Now gotta wait for new cord to come before I can try my grill again. My wife is upset that we spent more on this grill than a propane one like our old grill, but aren’t able to use it. Hopefully the cord fixes it, but it sucks to be out of operation until I go through their steps and wait a week for them to ship the part.

It's all good except for basic 1st things, 1st. I had replaced my auger once before, so I thought the next time it went dead, I'd check the FUSE. WHALA, it worked. A F3A 250v FUSE change, and it works.... GOOD LUCK all!!

It was 5 am and dark. Very frustrated. I have been using this grill for over 6 years. Came in and watched the video and then he turned on the on and off switch. OMG what an idot I am.

This is a brutal video and doesn't 'troubleshoot' at all. His comment about plugging the connectors in 1 at a time is obvious, but here is the issue. I test my cord out of the wall to the connector on the Traeger and have 120V, I plug in my controller and test to the back of the control panel with switch on and have 120V.....but I have no power! Nothing, no error code, not a thing on the display. Any one have any ideas?

The best thing to do is contact your Point of Sale and ask them to help you get in contact with their Traeger Representative whoever that may be. this is one of the poorest excuses for a grill I have ever seen, my first one lasted 2 days one day before I had a fathers day planed, second and thirs one almost made it two years and the fourth one won't work and trager is no help at all, do not get taken I paid almost $1,000.00 for the first one and I don't have a working grill
