Hey Chris! Just an idea.... Build a fold down twin bed, that way when your not using it, it folds up out of the way. Also a small wood box to attach to the outside of the cabin with a slanted tin roof top, along with a door on the front to store all the batteries etc so they arent cluttering up you small space.

Dang Right Chris. I completely understand and agree with living free. I was raised in the south and didn't have a lot. Mom taught us to make due with what we had available. I have basically been living in a tent off and on for over 10 years. I prefer being in nature. I haven't used a coffee maker since 2019, I use a kettle to heat my water and pour over the little filter holder for a perfect cup of coffee. I have multiple ways to cook, butane, propane, charcoal, sterno cans, or camp fire. I don't watch television, I prefer to watch nature or KZbin on my phone. I have a couple small jackery power stations and solar panel to charge my gadgets and power my fridge/freezer. I watch your videos and see so much potential for you and your little homestead. My suggestion is get the generator on a platform and covered from weather and cut down the noise. I like the idea of using the cabin for a hangout during bad weather days, looks better without the bed. And cots or hammocks are definitely options for beds. Living in your cabin will be good during the winter. Maybe build a loft for the mattress with a seating area below. That will protect the mattress from the weather. You could also set up a cooking station on the covered porch.

They make solar fans. They are made for like barns, chicken coops, etc. and they actually work really good and don’t require power except the solar panel.

If I was able I would, unfortunately being 80 I’m on SS, that’s nothing to brag about it’s actually pitiful what the government gives you when yo reach your prime time of life. I know what you mean Chris i Love sleeping outside if its cold add a blanket on your bed or take it off if its hot. My Grandma was Native American she taught me how to survive out in the open and to be a minimalist. I have taught my kids everything she taught me and they taught their kids. My husband does not like sleeping outside camping has to be in a motor home LMAO!!

People in Alaska live this way...and they build a small cabin and usually add onto it each year and make it bigger by adding a room ...and cutting into one of the walls...you could always make a nice place out of what you started already....think about adding onto it....and you could get a futon couch...that folds out ...sleep and chill...they make nice ones...

I think you should look into shelving for your cabin. You can use old dresser drawers and mount them on the walls. Helps keep clutter away but still look good. Glad to see you up and moving and smiling.

Chris u dont need to explain 37:34 anything . But the cabin / MANCAVE lol is looking good. That bed was a bit big but maybe s fold down sofa bed would look good. A rug in the middle of the floor so Aurora and timber can join you. Deffo a table for a coffee machine . Maybe find the cooking thing the cast iron thing u could use that in cold weather. My sister has a really small apartment and is thinking a loveseat that pulls out into a bed. If you have the resources you could do the same thing, then no separate bed needed. Thanks for the video and I am so glad to see you utilize that beautiful cabin that YOU created!
