For example, the guy said he left islam because of punishment for adultery, gay marriage etc. Answer why those punishments make sense. I would like to actually praise them for being inquisitive, and listening to Ali for over 45 mins. They must have had a plan to go somewhere and therefore had to leave. We ask Allāh to open up their hearts to the truth, I hope we see them again, and we ask Allāh to keep us steadfast and to represent Islam in a manner fit to Him, and to make us sincere in our efforts and Tabligh. Sadly very true, especially in immigrant desi households, where parents don’t speak English, unaware with what’s being taught at school and friendship groups etc. This cycle will keep happening if, uneducated desi men, go back home, marry in their native countries and bring over yet another person in the marriage who is uneducated and doesn’t speak or wright English.

When having a "discussion on disagreement" with anyone : - 1st thing to establish is what is their disagreement is about... is it "specific" or "general" ? - 2nd is why do they disagree. Personal or cultural belief, misunderstanding or ignorant, personal or other's experience, perception or biased etc - 3rd, How they think it should be or what they think is the right one, and make a simple non-argument statement of ours...And emphasize this one clear statement, that what "WE think/believe vs YOU think/believe".. -4th, draw yourself into their position and criticizes both argument from their perspective, by comparing the differences and similarities. -5th, keep the argument hanging by letting their thoughts linger unanswered, without affirming any of it be it either right or wrong. For example, the boy says. that "something" is not God as it has no prove. Instead of insisting that "that something must be god", you should just say, "Yeah maybe its not GOD, maybe its Natural, maybe Chances or "Maybe GOD", we don't know, but I believe it is god and "I" call my god Allah. Maybe that "my God" and "your Chances" were actually referring to same Thing". Let the conclusion came from themselves rather than insisting upon it. After all, Allah guides only those who seek the truth. Leaving it unanswered will trigger them to seek for the truth, they shall find if they are sincere for it and there is nothing we can do anything more than that...
