Sachin was struggling with form before that and there was alot of controversy on why sachin cannot make double century despite making so many centuries and he said in an interview with haraha bhogle ( available at youtube) , he said that maybe he doesn't concentrate enough to make doible century and he would like to rectify it . Later he made one double century and this would have been second one and being captain Rahul dravid should have notified to sachin before declaring. Haters gonna hate anyway but sachin was greatest ever and Rahul dravid was and is also one of india' s lagend .

What everybody misses is that it would have a record for India, through not just Sachin. To date, there are only three instances of a team scoring a triple C and a double C in the same innings. 1. Gary Sobers and Corad Hunter against Pakistan. 2. Jayasuriya and Mahanama against India 3. Jaywardene and Sangakkara against SA. Karun Nair and KL Rahul missed it by a whisker when KL got out on 199. All four at home. Sachin's double C would have given us the record away from home, and resulting in a win, and against Pakistan too. Have watched that moment live, Sachin was taking singles mostly and giving the strike to Yuvraj, the last 55 balls that Sachin faced he scored only 44 that too when the team was on the verge of declaration....Yuvi pa too was not hitting them out of the park either.....Now when Rohit Sharma plays a knock of 90+ all hail him but back then it was always milestones centered team....this was also one of the reasons why Rahul Dravid started communicating a bit more during his coaching days as this experience was very very vital

Actually I am glad this happened. Sachin has many 200s but this 194 controversy is a great talking point for debate for people. Sachin and Dravid are both legends.
