The whole "bad mindset" and "shit mentality" belief 99% of the league has always had is truly why he's out and there's so much hatred toward him, which is entirely undeserved. There's this perception that you have to be angry, constantly working out, and always so intense in your serious attitude that there is ZERO space to have fun, be funny, joke around, do pranks, and just be yourself, as goofy and "childish" as many will demand that to be. But I know that's wrong. They got that shit backwards. There's a balance, and that means you need equal parts goofy attitude, having fun and being yourself and focused, determined, all heart level of training, ethic & play. You can be extremely free spirited and goofy like a child, but still be very serious and driven, taking no shit. People demand that's untrue, but it is factually correct. Perhaps being called a superstar from the get-go really hurts their mental development and that's how they become a spoiled brat and never recovered since then. NBA has turned into a place where all these superstars, thinking like a kid, are calling the shots and there's no punishment to their behavior at all. They just keep getting away with it, time after time. Funny how things has changed so drastically since the 90's basketball, where people are actually competing for the win, not throwing tantrum around like a 7-year-old children wanting to get his hand on his favorite toy.

Both Andre Drummond and Dwight Howard were coached by Stan Van Gundy, who never let either of them shoot jumpers, pass, or handle the ball. This LED TO CLAIMS OF their game being OBSOLETE. Asking for more minutes and more of a role isn’t really asking for too much given how well he played for the Lakers in their championship season and Philly the season after that. It’s fair to say that even though the Lakers won that season and he played a great role he was still under-utilised, only people who genuinely watched a large percentage of their games and understand his playing capacity will understand that. That’s not to say he was deserving of being a main player in front of AD or Lebron, but he was deserving of more than what he got for sure. If you’re someone who just checks the stats, watches highlights and listens to the media talk your opinion is most likely inaccurate. Much like if these are your sources of information and then you go and make a KZbin video about it, you’re contributing to false information. Asking for more doesn’t mean he’s asking for all the offence to be run through him, it just means he wants a bigger role than what he was getting. That being said whether you believe that to be a fair statement or not it does not discredit the humbling process he went through and character development that came because of it. Just because he humbled himself doesn’t mean he should eat shit and continue to accept less than what he is worth. Fingers crossed he has a kickass season in Taiwan and a contending NBA team resigns him later in the season either as a backup to a tier 1 centre or a starter to a team with a weak ‘big’ presence. Late 30s today is not what late 30s was a decade or two ago. With more knowledge on nutrition, recovery, load management and even slowing the ageing process it’s clear to see there are some vets either in the league today or recently out that are in elite shape and still worthy of competing.

Dwight needs and deserves to get signed by a team in the NBA

Dwight, vince, T-Mac all deserve to be on that team

He should be in the Top 75 because of his strong comeback during Lakers year.

Until 2016 he was a super star and all around the NBA took his siad against Kobe when he left 40 millions on the table when he choose Houston

Kobe saw it years ago. That lack of seriousness. I understand the need to let loose and have fun. But to be a leader on championship team requires a lot of work.

Can't this be said about any other star player? Howard literally has a legacy in the NBA regardless of all the negatives in this video.

I think Dwight just thought he was that guy everywhere. He was surrounded by yes/hype men

It doesn’t matter which one you pick. He has a more accomplished career than both of them.

Anyone remember when Dwight first came into the league and proclaimed he would replace Jerry West as the logo? I mean, what's not to like about that? 😂

Yeah Dwight Howard's resume has always been pretty stacked, people just really hated him as a person and it still affecting him until this day

Probably because he says he's a Christian and he follows GOD for real.

Dwight situation proves what's wrong with todays nba. I cant believe that there is no spot for melo, dwight or kemba or thomas and instead of them - there is spot for bums like deandre jordan and eubanks, Just unbelievable

Because none of those dudes provide value to any roster that isn’t a dumpster fire. Unless you count the Udonis Haslem’s and Thanasis Antetokounmpo’s as valuable Melo? Zero defense and streaky shooter. Can only be a bench player. Dwight? Exactly as the video mentioned. Kemba? Injury prone with zero defense. IT? Small injury prone who’s only contributing factor is offense which isn’t that good.

Because he had all the talent in the world and chose to be a locker room cancer and never improve. Just imagine if he had a jumper. Fact is, there's two careers of Dwight Howard. The first half where he developed and peaked and the second half where he slowly declined. The second half outweighs the first half.

That's not fair. His stats speak for him. I love Dwight. His personal life is just that. What I don't understand they did do it to D Wade and bron. There are others that have the same lifestyle but nothing was done. Dennis Rodman did his own thing .

I remember when all this went down; Orlando was blowing up and DH was looking like an all star. He could have developed in to something better instead he took a dump on Orlando and left a hole.

The negative is sad. Sometimes you need an attitude adjustment. I hoped he would stay in Orlando and be the man. Once you start bouncing around team to team it’s over.
