To be fair Lebron does have a lot of fans, I personally think it’s the constant media coverage, the unprecedented move to Miami, given we never saw 3 prime players in the 26-28 age range on one time that were all top 15 players at that respective time, it seemed like he stacked the deck really in his favor. Seeing him lose kinda humbled him but in a lot of people’s eyes took him out of the Kobe, Jordan, aura of greatness considered he really shit the bed when he was the overwhelming favorite. Lastly the 3-1 comeback is legendary in and of itself, despite this, it’s truly Lebron’s crowning achievement but when looking objectively how does winning 3 rings make you the goat in 2016? Comments like that anger the older and some younger fan bases like myself that actually have respect for the history of the game etc. We can all say Bron can have that confidence and we all Know Jordan believes he’s the best deep down, the difference is how Bron comes off like it’s so matter of fact, that he’s the best etc etc. Jordan has never come out even doing anything remotely close. LeBron is one of those players who is an NBA creation top to bottom. He once was a talented young player who probably would have benefitted from going to college. That's why he never learned the fundamentals of the game. He was pushed and marketed into being the GOAT much too prematurely. Now, at age 38, with no jumper, he's been turned into the Hulk Hogan of the NBA, by making game changes that were beneficial to him. He never liked physical play and has never REALLY had to carry the burden of responsibility, he tried to do it with the Cavs and failed miserably. So the NBA and ESPN in particular put out the narrative that he had played with a bunch of bums. Even the later contributions of players like Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving were always diminished, just to make LeBron look better. Now he's in L.A and has a losing record, people again are blaming everyone else but the so-called GOAT. But isn't LeBron supposed to make everyone around him better? The guy actually is the most protected player EVER!
