I remember an interview he said he sat down with p&p to show them one of his fave Japanese matches and he was just trying to tell them the whole storytelling and what each move meant, just talking through the whole match to the point Santana and Ortiz had to tell him to shut up and let them enjoy the match. Dude is a biiig wrestling nerd, it's his business, his work, but he really enjoys this.

I wouldn't compare Eddie to The Rock. I think The Rock's promos is more focused on clever and witty insults whilst Eddie speaks from the heart and says a lot of heavy shit. I just connected with Eddie when I heard his story and then when I saw him on AEW - I knew, I knew, I knew that when everybody saw and heard his passion - that AEW would have to be an idiot to not grab him. He can do so much for others - he's an investment in the future.

I'm jealous of how white Renee's teeth are. Kingston would be labelled and ostracized as a "Strange Cat" and go the way of Punk, Moxley, Pac, Piper and Ventura. And at best he would be booked like Roaddog in WWE. He'd have a good rivalry with Kevin Owens, but that's about it.

I had only seen Eddie once, prior to his AEW debut, and I absolutely LOVED him! I didn't remember his name. But he had cut a promo, in NWA, and blew my mind. He has a personality that is too big to be contained. I would've hated to see WWE change or own him.
