Egypt, the most populous country in the Middle East and North Africa, is currently experiencing one of the most dramatic economic downturns in recent history. This crisis has thrust the most populous country in the Middle East and North Africa into a state of turmoil.
The situation is marked by currency devaluation, doubled food prices, restricted bank withdrawals, soaring unemployment rates, a housing shortage, mounting foreign debt, escalating taxation, and a dwindling water supply from the Nile.
While the government blames the pandemic and geopolitical tensions, our video uncovers the underlying factors of corruption and economic mismanagement under President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, including currency manipulation, misplaced spending priorities, wasteful megaprojects, and military control over the economy. Join us as we explore the causes, consequences, and potential paths to recovery in this gripping examination of Egypt's catastrophic economic collapse. It’s very misguided and ridiculous to even compare the great conquering Prussia of the 19th century to this poor sisi army state of Egypt that can easily be humbled by Ethiopia or Israel They literally serve as vessel state now to Saudi and UAE

Awesome video. The visuals, the narration, the story, everything was top-notch. While it disheartens me to see Egypt like this, I do appreciate this video a lot. It's doing a good job of letting misguided Egyptians know that we're on the wrong track. I'd love to see more professional documentaries like this. I only recommend adding your references in the description. Other than that, you nailed it!

This is so full of mistakes: e.g. Muhammad Ali did not defeat the British. he fought with the British against Napoleon's expedition; and the issue with Sami Anan was during the second Sisi election campaign not the first, and so on... there were probably more to fumbles come after the Anan one. But I stopped watching at that point.

World-renowned Egyptologist Zahi Hawass has put to bed Afrocentric claims that the Ancient Egyptians were black Africans, saying such allegations are not true at all. Hawass noted that there is, however, evidence of the Kushites being of black origin, who ruled Egypt during the 25th Dynasty. (He noted that it is from this period that the belief of Ancient Egypt’s black African origins grew). “If we look at Ancient Egypt, there are two theories, with one theory being that their origin was either from Semites (descendants of Shem, son of Noah) or Hamites (descendants of Ham, son of Noah), with input from Palestine and from Africa based on the faces of the people from the Delta and Upper Egypt,” he explained. (He explained that Cheikh Anta Diop is the one who really pushed the Afrocentric theory that the origin of the Ancient Egyptians was black). The actual origin of Ancient Egyptians was purely Egyptian based on the discovery made by British Egyptologist Flinders Petrie at Naqada, and this is why we know the Ancient Egyptian civilisation did not occur in Africa, it occurred only here,” Hawass said. Notably, the claim that the Ancient Egyptians had black skin has become a cornerstone of Afrocentric historiography. Mainstream scholars hold that kemet, a word frequently used for Ancient Egypt, means “the black land” or “the black place”. When it means nothing of the kind, and It refers to the fertile black soil that was washed down from Central Africa by the annual River Nile inundation.

A very bad report, close to being funded by the opposition. It did not mention anything positive that the president did Like a decent life for 60 million Egyptians Increasing the agricultural area in Egypt by 40% An increase in the national product from 230 billion dollars to 450 billion dollars. The debt is compared to the national output. It is not the number of debts alone, and most of the debts are private sector, not all of them are owned. She did not make any suggestions for improvement, but criticism for criticism only Al-Sisi has provided 7 million job opportunities because of the modern city projects. What will these people provide jobs for? We have 9 million refugees who must be expelled to Europe, but he refuses, unless you pay us and help us. We must release them to you in the West, so that you know what we are preventing from you. He is the only one who gives the rights of people with disabilities, like my brother, who took an insurance pension for my father and mother combined for the duration of his life. With annual increases of 15% equal to inflation He solved the problems of residential slums and built apartments for people of 100 square meters and gave them mansions with furniture and equipment for free. You did not mention that

If all you're saying is true, then why is the economy getting exponentially worse?? And it's not a slight decrease, but it's a HUGE decrease reaching an all time low in Egypt's modern history! Those jobs created are still minimum wage even though they're the ones building and operating pristine and luxurious services, for who exactly?? Who's gonna use these luxuries?? The top 1% of the population with the money?? Stop fooling yourself, all of these "projects" are only for the elite and the military's benefit. And the social housing is NOT free, they put poor people in debt for decades. We are in GREAT debt from literally everyone, that's why the Egyptian pound is at an all time low, care to explain why??? Or do you just have a list of "achievements" that you memorised without knowing the context?

This video is utter BS and propaganda against Egypt. I live there, and even if everyone can agree that we are going through difficult times, it's not near the apocalyptic scenario that you described. Egypt will not fail, neither now nor later. For instance, there is no water crisis, the dam of Ethiopia did not decrease the water level, and those were only fears and projections. It is not a dictatorship whatsoever, people are free to do whatever they want so long as it does not disturb the country's hardly-earned start of a stability, and that it does not go against the ethics and morals of the people. Loans are indeed a problem, and sucking up at least 50% of the foreign currency reserve of the country, but this is a short-term problem, and by the end of 2024, the country would have paid the loans that are due in emergency. Talking about loans, you mentioned a debt-to-GDP ratio that surpasses 90% of the country's GDP right ? Go compare those numbers to European countries or to the US, which, btw, are about to default on their debt payment if they don't print more money, or make other countries poorer in the process. For anyone who read this, I invite you to check this channel's history, and see that the KZbinr probably earned a big check to publish this video. How do you go from crappy gaming videos where OBS studio is seen upon launch, to a perfectly edited video, voiced over with the purest English accent there is ? Either you're stealing others' content or are taking money to publish propaganda content.

@@Exoskeleton1 The truth is, media outlets are never unbiased. They always try to pass an opinion that fits their plans and agenda. When a poor-quality KZbin channel suddenly posts a high quality video like this one, that probably required some means and money to be made, then it is not a question of whether or not it is legitimate anymore: IT IS NOT LEGITIMATE, period. As of the content that was presented, it is not true either. Egypt's economy is not under threat. It is going through a tough time, and on that we can agree. However, clearly, someone is trying to depict the situation as being much worse than it is. Do you know what happens when people think that Egypt is a supposed "oppressive" and "invasive" country ? They decide to cancel their vacation plans, and that is a direct hit to the Egyptian economy as one of their biggest sources of income and foreign currency is TOURISM. Whoever made that video is wishing to get a viral nasty reaction from the people and to impact the public opinion. That's my opinion, and if you don't agree, you are free to do your own research and explain to me why you think I am wrong, I'll be waiting. If you feel that I didn't answer your question, then please tell me
