OP, I think you’re right, and THAT was where the conversation could have gone if Heather hadn’t jumped to the wrong conclusion and gotten all offended. Body dysmorphia is REAL. Emily was TRYING to express that despite working so hard to get fit and healthy, she still feels large and uncomfortable in her own skin. I was disappointed in Heather’s reaction. She had no reason to get defensive. Emily was simply trying to share about the emotional roller coaster she experienced during the fashion show as a woman in a larger body and a world that has body shamed her for her entire life. How many times did she say she wasn’t blaming Heather for anything? I love Heather, but she jumped to a bad conclusion about what Emily was trying to say, and then refused to hear her out. Meanwhile the thirsty nutcase Alexis started metaphorically flipping tables right and left, further preventing Emily from saying what she set out to share. Emily had something insightful and broadly applicable to share about how hard it is to feel comfortable in your own skin, even when you’ve worked hard to be fit and healthy, like she has. As a mother with 3 queer kids, Heather should know better how to be present and hold space for someone wrestling with an emotional realization without inserting herself and making it all about her. I was disappointed in Heather. I hope she fixes it and LISTENS to Emily. Emily’s experience is one MANY women can relate to, and she was trying to give it a voice and secure some compassion. Alexis has always been this way. I just recently rewatch the early episodes of her on the show back when she was married to Jim. She wasn’t as bad as she is right now but it was like little hints here and there of her behavior. I believe Jim was her behavioral compass for many years. That is why she behave so badly now. She has no one in her life to reign her in. Ask for John, I do not believe he has a legal leg to stand on. If this was an actual loan, there would’ve been some documentation of a repayment or a check in the memo line saying loan. That was all it would be needed in court. You don’t need videos to blackmail a person into paying you back or just going around and threatening to destroy the reputation because you’re not giving him $75,000. After seeing him on Andy Cohen show, I think it’s more of the fact that Shannon for two or three years of their relationship had referred to her self as a, “ sugar mama”! The problem with him behaving this way and making a statement that he did not like this phrase, this has started early on in their relationship and he put up with it for three years. And Shannon can always pull up receipts and show that she had paid for everything in their relationship, just like John could do the same thing. I believe court would not put up with hearing couples who are dating and getting mad about finances being mixed in. Just like Judge Judy always says, “ courts do not recognize unmarried couples.”

Heather knew exactly what she was doing. The pants were fitted to each model, but likely didn’t reach Emily’s size. Hence why Emily was asked to bring her own jeans. And why continually refer to a jacket as oversized. It’s a style, but in this case reads as ‘it should fit you.’ I think the only surprise to Heather was that it hurt Emily’s feelings because Heather thought she was merely accommodating the ‘fat’ girl.

I disagree. Emily is like many of us.. we have normal insecurities but we handle them well. I think the show has her demonstrating them more than is normal.

A size 12 is not fat especially when you are tall and sizes are made differently in each brand and how your shaped, crying over it is redic it makes women that are a 10 or 12 feel shameful for being that. Cry over not being able to buy groceries or put gas in your car would be more appropriate now a days
