Here, we look at why endothermic changes feel cold to the touch, whereas exothermic changes feel warm. Many students hold the misconception that the opposite is true, thinking that endothermic should feel warm because it is absorbing energy, so we need to address this mistaken idea and look at why endothermic feels cold and not warm to the touch.
